Meanwhile vs Unpack

I was looking for a way to reflect on my days and grow, to see patterns over longer amounts of time. But like many people, I always struggled with traditional journaling. The vast, empty page felt overwhelming, and the pressure to write something profound kept me from writing at all. So I built Meanwhile—a beautiful, minimal journaling app that evolves with you. Meanwhile keeps it simple: write one entry for today, one for yesterday. That's it. Just a minimal and beautiful space to capture what matters now and save it for reflection later. Your memories will resurface in time, reminding you of past thoughts days, weeks, months, or years later on the same day. MICRO-JOURNAL Capture fleeting thoughts Save daily instant photos Document your dreams Track simple gratitudes Chronicle your wishes SEE YOUR PATTERNS Over time, Meanwhile reveals insights about your life through gentle analytics—average entry length, common themes, and more. Plus, "On This Day" memories surface past entries, helping you see how far you've come. Features: ALWAYS PRIVATE AND SECURE Every word, every photo stays completely private. Meanwhile automatically backs up and syncs through your personal iCloud—no third-party servers, no data mining, no compromises. MORE FEATURES: Clean, focused interface with just today and yesterday Add photos or text to each entry Take photos using the instant camera Private iCloud sync across all your devices "On This Day" memories from past entries Analytics to spot patterns in your thoughts Customizable themes and colors for light and dark modes Home Screen widgets to show memories and insights No ads, no tracking, just journaling SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION: Meanwhile Advanced - $19.99/year Annual subscription that unlocks all features including import/export of backups, smart writing prompts, beautiful themes, and advanced widgets. A journaling app to capture life as it happens — track moods, write notes, save photos, and organize your memories with tags. Key features: • Quick journaling for thoughts, moods, and moments • Tag entries to build collections automatically • Photo journaling to capture memories visually • Flexible: use as a diary, planner, or life tracker • No rigid structure — write as little or as much as you want Unpack is built for the moments you don’t want to lose — big or small, planned or spontaneous. Jot down a quick thought, log your mood, save a photo, or outline what’s next. Everything goes in as easily as it comes to you. Instead of forcing your life into rigid entries, you can tag anything you add. Over time, those tags turn into living collections: your trips, ideas, routines, phases, and memories automatically organized and easy to revisit. Use it as a journal, a mood tracker, a planning space, or all of the above. However you use it, the goal is simple: make capturing your life effortless, and make coming back to it meaningful. No pressure to write long entries. No complicated structure. Just capture, tag, and let your story take shape. -- Privacy Policy: https://and.notion.site/Unpack-Privacy-Policy-341eb9a83adb80388687f064070e877c EULA: http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/appstore/dev/stdeula
