Document every detail of your birding journey. Feathers for iOS is a companion app to the Feathers web platform, designed for capturing bird sightings and sessions while in the field. Key features • Capture individual bird sightings on their own or as part of a birding session (i.e., a checklist). • Save precise location coordinates with each sighting to remember both your location and the bird’s — down to a specific tree or bush. • Track what matters to you by applying custom tags to sightings (e.g., “singing,” “adult”). • Refine your records with detailed taxonomy options, including subspecies, forms, and sp. • Fetch real-time weather information to preserve the conditions of each field session. Why choose Feathers? Feathers provides a beautiful, customizable home for a lifetime of bird sightings. Build a personal record of your observations and watch your relationship with each species evolve over time. Identify what you see. Keep the encounter. Find it again. Leafwing is your private nature journal for plants, birds, insects, fish, and other wildlife. Use the camera or your photo library to save plants, birds, fish, insects, and other living things you notice. Leafwing keeps each record organized with photos, capture time, place information when available, notes, and species identification, so casual moments can grow into a personal index of the nature around you. Your records are private by default. Leafwing is not a social network or a check-in app: this version does not include public posts, follows, comments, leaderboards, or public profiles. With Leafwing, you can: - Save nature records from the camera or photo library - Preserve capture time and place context from photos when available - Identify and organize species from photos - Browse your own catalog by category - See field sets and seasonal notebook pages grow from what you have actually recorded - Add or correct species manually when needed - Link Apple ID so your records can sync across devices - Recover interrupted saves when a record does not finish - Organize up to 12 past photos into observations, with dates you can correct - Save without identifying, or see the credit total before identifying your groups - Find past records by species name, observation date, or saved place - Delete individual records or your account from Settings Leafwing is free to download and includes 30 starter photo-identification credits. When those credits run out, you can buy consumable identification credit packs as needed. Basic recording, manual organization, privacy controls, sync, and account deletion do not require buying more credits. Photo storage in this version supports private records, photo identification, cross-device sync, and account deletion cleanup. This version does not sell cloud-photo storage, does not include subscriptions, and does not offer social promotion tools.
