Arbornotes
Read full descriptionHide full description
Arbor, the latin word for tree, was the primary inspiration for this app. A way to organize any amount of files in an order customized to the user. Every feature in this app I have implemented with hours of thought and polishing. I made this app because I felt that nothing already made offered what I and other people needed. This app isn't just designed for students, it is designed for everyone. Its designed with a sleek, professional and minimal look. If it's a project with multiple versions and ideas, a class with all of its lectures, or a hobbyist wanting to organize things better. Give it a try, all support and future ideas are welcome. Welcome to a new way to take notes. The app is optimized for iPad, but I've adapted some features for iPhone.

DupCleaner finds files with matching contents in the folders you choose and helps you review what to keep and what to remove. Choose folders, compare files, then inspect each duplicate group's file names, full locations, and modification dates. The default recommendation keeps one recently modified copy, and you can change the selection. Selecting every copy shows a warning that the originals will also be deleted, followed by a final confirmation. Items that could not be scanned are reported separately from completed results. Unverified cloud candidates are distinguished from confirmed duplicates. After cleanup, review the number of files actually deleted and their combined file size. The change in available device storage may differ. Follow one flow from folder selection to review on iPhone and iPad. File comparisons run on your device, and file contents are not uploaded to DupCleaner's servers. Comparing cloud files may require downloads. Basic cleanup is free. Pro features, including scanning saved locations together, require a separate purchase. DupCleaner cannot restore deleted files, so back up important files before cleanup.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Arbornotes at none against DupCleaner's shown. DupCleaner's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
