About

TossBuddy

You do not have a swing problem. You have a toss problem. After thousands of lessons, one question came up more than any other: how do I hit a kick serve? Players thought they needed a new swing, more power, more flexibility. Almost nobody realised the obstacle was the toss, and that they had no real idea where “behind your head” actually is. TossBuddy puts a coach’s eye on every toss you make. HOW IT WORKS Mount your phone on a tripod or on your ball cart, line up on the baseline where the app shows you, and serve as you normally would. Your iPhone camera watches the ball leave your hand and measures where it goes, in real time, frame by frame. Perfect, left, right or too low. You know before the ball comes down. Instant feedback right when you serve, not in a video you watch tonight. Kick Serve and First Serve each have their own target, because they are not the same toss. SEE YOUR PATTERN, NOT ONE TOSS One good toss is luck. Forty is a serve. Toss Radar draws a whole session on a single map, measured from your head at release: where you let go of the ball, where it peaked, and where you made contact. Each circle shows how far that point typically sits from its own average. Tighter is more repeatable. Switch between Path, Apex, Release and Contact to find which part of the toss is drifting, and watch the circles shrink as it stops. LOG WHERE THE SERVE LANDED, FROM YOUR WRIST If you have an Apple Watch, you never walk back to the phone. When TossBuddy sees you strike a serve, your watch taps you. Turn the crown to pick the side, tap where the serve landed, and serve again. It takes about a second. Your Serve Hotzone then shows every serve you have logged, so you can see whether the toss you are proud of is actually sending the ball where you want it. The watch is optional. Everything else works without one. YOUR PRACTICE, KEPT Goals, streaks and daily missions, so there is a reason to come back tomorrow. Session history, so this week can be compared to last. Leaderboards if you want them, friends if you want them, neither if you do not. Record a session when you want to see it for yourself. TOSSBUDDY PRO Zone analysis on your Serve Hotzone, twice the practice balls before you run dry, and every toss you have ever made. Monthly or yearly, or a single Lifetime payment that never renews. Yearly works out to less than half a one-hour lesson. PRIVACY, PLAINLY Your practice videos never leave your device. There is no upload path in the app at all and no server that could receive one. Every frame is analysed on your iPhone, using Apple's own on-device vision frameworks. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://rtptennis.com/pages/tossbuddy-privacy-policy
