Compass For Blind vs Project Visionary

"Compass For Blind" is a practical tool thoughtfully designed for the visually impaired. With its voice prompt feature, it can accurately identify and inform users of the 8 cardinal directions (East, South, West, North, Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, Southwest). When you are facing one of these directions, the device will give a voice prompt along with a vibration, helping you intuitively perceive the direction. Whether for daily travel, navigation, or orientation in unfamiliar environments, it provides precise and convenient direction guidance, becoming your reliable assistant to make traveling more worry - free and comfortable.

Visionary is an app designed for the visually impaired with the main goal of serving as their eyes. The app currently has a main feature, which is food item freshness detection. The function serves to detect organic produce (e.g. fruits / vegetables), precooked meals and provide information on its ripeness if applicable, indicating whether it is rotten or fresh to the user. The app would also verbally provide additional details about the organic produce as well as provide storage tips. It also can identify any allergies and if the meal is vegan or not. Please do note that this is an early prototype and a work in progress so do stand by for more features to come in future updates.
