VisoGo (eID document reader) vs ValidateID

This app securely reads the NFC chip (CHIP) embedded in electronic identity documents such as passports, ID cards, and residence permits. By simply holding the document near the phone, the app extracts personal data (like name, date of birth, nationality) and biometric data (such as the holder's photo) directly from the contactless chip, ensuring fast, accurate, and secure identity verification.

Validate, approve, or reject identity documents entirely offline. The app allows users to: • Configure automatic rejection for expired documents or those that don’t meet minimum age requirements • Choose whether to store verification records locally or skip saving them • Optionally save GPS location when recording data • Select whether to read only the MRZ or also the NFC chip • Authenticate chip data against the document for enhanced security • Export stored records as a CSV file for manual sharing All data is processed and stored locally on the device. No personal data is transmitted to external servers. Users have full control over what data is stored and whether it is exported or shared.
