K-Tuner is a guitar tuner that lets you tune with your capo on. Choose the capo fret on the tuner screen, and each string’s target pitch moves up to match. Pluck a string, and the meter shows whether it is in tune, too low, or too high. No need to remove the capo between songs. Capo support and standard tuning are free. It also works without looking at the screen. Pluck a string, and K-Tuner automatically detects which string you played. Turn on "Speak aloud" in Settings to hear the result, or use VoiceOver. K-Tuner was designed from the ground up to support VoiceOver. HOW IT WORKS β€’ Open the app and it starts listening right away. β€’ Pluck one string. K-Tuner picks the string automatically. You can also tap a string button to lock it. β€’ When the note settles, it speaks the result. It stays quiet while you are turning the peg, so it never talks over you. β€’ If the note fades too soon, it gives you a rough reading such as "probably too high" instead of staying silent. β€’ If another string is ringing and hiding the one you plucked, it tells you which string to mute. β€’ Tap "Speak current reading" at any time to hear the string and how many cents it is off. MADE FOR VOICEOVER β€’ Every control has a clear label and hint. β€’ Start or stop with a two-finger double-tap (magic tap), so you never have to find a button while holding your guitar. β€’ The meter and the constantly changing numbers are hidden from VoiceOver so the focus never jumps around. β€’ Results are announced in the language of the app, and the announcements do not interrupt each other in the wrong order. NOT USING VOICEOVER? Turn on "Speak aloud" in Settings and K-Tuner speaks the results itself, at the rate you choose. Sighted players get a large circular meter with a needle that turns green when the string is in tune. FREE VERSION β€’ Standard tuning (E A D G B E) β€’ Capo β€’ Automatic string picking β€’ Spoken results and VoiceOver support β€’ The visual meter K-TUNER PRO (one-time purchase) β€’ 18 more tunings: half step down, whole step down, Drop D, Drop C, Drop B, Open D, Open E, Open G, Open A, Open C, DADGAD, Nashville, all fourths, all fifths, major thirds, guitalele, and ukulele (high G and low G) β€’ Reference pitch from 430 to 445 Hz Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription. Buy it once and use it on all your iPhones and iPads with the same Apple ID. PRIVACY K-Tuner uses the microphone only to measure pitch. Nothing is recorded or saved, and no audio ever leaves your device. There are no accounts and no ads. If something goes wrong, you can choose to email the developer an activity log; it contains no audio. TIPS β€’ Place your iPhone near the body of the guitar with the microphone facing it. Your lap or a music stand works fine. β€’ Pluck with normal strength. A very hard pluck takes longer to settle. β€’ Keep the microphone out of air-conditioner drafts. Questions or feedback?
