MealMarks is a private, photo-first food journal that helps you notice your eating patterns without counting calories, scoring food, or giving nutrition advice. Take a photo or choose one from your library, then add as much or as little context as you want. Use reusable meal and location tags, write an optional note, and record whether you would have the meal again. MealMarks automatically keeps the date and time with every entry. Your journal puts photos first and organizes meals by day. Browse your history, switch between journal layouts, filter by one or more tags, and open any entry to update its details or delete it. The Patterns view turns your journal into simple, descriptive summaries. Explore daily, weekly, and monthly activity, see your most-used tags, and discover tags that often appear together. MealMarks reports only what you recorded, with no judgment or health claims. Your journal stays on your device. MealMarks has no account, ads, tracking, analytics, or cloud sync. When you choose, you can export a complete ZIP archive, import a MealMarks archive, or erase all app data. MealMarks supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, light and dark appearances, increased contrast, and reduced motion. Take a photo. Add a few tags. Understand your eating patterns.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MealMarks at none against Breve's 2. MealMarks also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). Breve's advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Breve against 5.0 for MealMarks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Breve has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
