VoluMax

Features

VoluMax is a weightlifting tracker built around one idea: training for hypertrophy is about stimulating each muscle group with the right weekly volume — not just lifting heavy. Log every set with weight, reps, and RIR (Reps in Reserve), and VoluMax instantly tells you how much hypertrophy stimulus you've actually accumulated this week, broken down by muscle group. No more guessing whether your back is undertrained or your chest is overcooked. WHY VOLUMAX Most workout trackers count sets. VoluMax measures stimulus. Two sets of bench press at RIR 0 are not the same as two sets at RIR 5 — and your muscles know it. By using your RIR input, VoluMax converts every set into an "effective reps" score and an attributed contribution to each muscle worked. The result is a weekly volume picture that reflects how hard you actually trained, not just what you wrote down. KEY FEATURES • Fast in-gym set logging — weight, reps, RIR in seconds • Built-in exercise database with fractional muscle mapping (e.g. bench press splits stimulus across chest and triceps) • Live workout view: see today's effective reps per muscle as you lift • Weekly Summary: per-muscle volume, effective reps, and weekly potential % • Daily Summary: review and edit any past workout • Volume landmarks per muscle: Below MEV, At MEV, In MAV, Near MRV, Above MRV • 10 tracked muscle groups: chest, back, shoulders, triceps, biceps, quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves, core • Mobile-first dark theme designed for use under gym lighting • 100% local — no account, no cloud, no ads, no tracking HYPERTROPHY SCIENCE, BUILT IN VoluMax uses an effort-aware hypertrophy model based on published volume landmarks: • MEV (Minimum Effective Volume) — the floor where growth begins • MAV (Maximum Adaptive Volume) — the ideal hypertrophy training range • MRV (Maximum Recoverable Volume) — the ceiling before recovery suffers Each set's score factors in RIR (effort), rep range, and per-muscle diminishing returns within the day and across the week. The output is a 0-100% weekly potential bar for every muscle group, so you can see at a glance which muscles need another session and which are ready for a deload. WHO IT'S FOR • Lifters running hypertrophy-focused programs (PPL, upper/lower, full body) • Bodybuilders managing weekly set volume per muscle • Anyone using RIR-based progressive overload • Coaches and self-coached lifters who care about volume distribution • Gym-goers who want a simple weightlifting log with real analytics HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap Start Workout 2. Pick exercises from the built-in database 3. Log each set: weight, reps, RIR 4. Watch your effective reps and per-muscle volume update live 5. End the workout — your weekly summary updates automatically 6. Review the week and plan your next session around what's actually undertrained PRIVACY Your training data lives on your device. There's no sign-up, no email, no cloud sync, and no analytics SDK reading your workouts. Uninstalling the app removes the data with it.
