Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Morphist at none against Simple Timer's shown. Morphist also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). Simple Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Morphist against 5.0 for Simple Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morphist has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Morphist ships an update every 11 days, Simple Timer every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
