About

Solvent

Features

One budget. Two people. One plan to get out of debt. Solvent is a budgeting and debt-payoff app built for households. You and your partner share the same budget, the same transactions, and the same payoff plan, updated live on both phones. No more "wait, did you already pay that?" NO BANK LOGINS. EVER. Solvent never connects to your bank, your credit card, or any financial institution. There is no login to hand over, no third-party aggregator sitting between you and your money, and no automatic import of your transaction history. Everything in Solvent is there because you put it there. That is a design decision, not a missing feature. The safest financial data is the data nobody had to collect. A BUDGET YOU ACTUALLY SHARE Invite your partner and you are budgeting from the same page — literally the same one. Categories, targets, income, transactions, debts, and progress all belong to the household, not to one person's phone. Both of you can add, edit, and see everything in real time. Money stops being the thing you argue about after the fact. MANUAL ENTRY, ON PURPOSE Solvent asks you to log spending by hand. It takes a few seconds, and those few seconds are the entire point. Automatic imports turn spending into a report you skim at the end of the month. Typing it in keeps you conscious of where the money is going while you still have time to do something about it. WATCH YOUR DEBT-FREE DATE MOVE Add your debts with balance, APR, and minimum payment. Solvent builds a payoff plan using the snowball method (smallest balance first, for momentum) or the avalanche method (highest interest first, for savings), projects the date you will be debt-free, and moves that date closer every time you log a payment. WHAT'S INSIDE - Shared household budgets with real-time sync between members - A guided setup wizard for your first budget - Spending categories with targets and a free-to-spend summary - Fast manual transaction entry - Recurring payments and subscriptions, handled automatically - Snowball and avalanche debt payoff plans with a projected debt-free date - Per-debt payoff estimates, interest included - Budget periods that close, archive, and roll into the next one PRIVACY, PLAINLY - No bank or card connections, and no credentials to steal - Your household's data is readable only by members of that household - We never sell your data - Delete your account and all of your data from inside the app, any time Solvent is free. Projections such as payoff dates and interest totals are estimates for information only, and are not financial advice.
