GPS2Quantum vs Shturman
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side — with what reviewers say about each.
GPS2Quantum
This app transforms real-time GPS coordinates into quantum spherical coordinates, visualizing your position as a state vector on a Bloch sphere. Explore two modes: real-world tracking or superposition with a chosen origin. Analyze sessions with AI and export data for further study.
- Real-time GPS to quantum coordinates
- Bloch sphere visualization
- Superposition mode with custom origin
- AI session analysis
- Session logging and CSV export
- Adjustable sensor degradation

GPS2Quantum Your location is not just a latitude and longitude. It is a quantum state. GPS2Quantum transforms your real-time GPS coordinates into quantum spherical coordinates (polar angle, azimuthal angle, and radial magnitude) and visualizes your position as a state vector on a Bloch sphere. The same mathematical framework used in quantum information science, applied to where you are standing right now. TWO MODES... REAL WORLD: Capture your current GPS position and watch your quantum state vector update in real time. Track your movement across the Bloch sphere. Log every reading. Export your session as a CSV. SUPERPOSITION: Choose any location on Earth as your quantum origin. K2. The Mariana Trench. The Eiffel Tower. Your movement deltas are then applied to that origin, placing your quantum state simultaneously at your physical location and your chosen point on Earth. Your state vector moves. Your quantum position is real. THE BLOCH SPHERE 3D... Watch your quantum state vector update live. Orange trail dots trace your recent history. The STATE indicator shows whether you are in GROUND or EXCITED determined by whether your polar angle θ crosses π/2. Cross the equatorial plane and your state flips. This is not a simulation. AI SESSION ANALYSIS After collecting readings, tap the AI button for a technical analysis of your session: quantum state evolution, sensor performance, movement analysis, notable observations. In Superposition mode, a fifth section narrates your quantum journey through the origin location: the streets or sea or air you passed through, the altitude above or below the surface, the neighborhoods your quantum state traversed. SESSION LOG & EXPORT Every reading is logged with full quantum coordinates, GPS position, deltas, and uncertainty radius. Export as CSV for further analysis in any spreadsheet application. ADVANCED SETTINGS Model real-world sensor degradation with easy-to-set Drift parameters. Choose your sensor class (Consumer through Strategic Grade) and operational condition (Static, Automotive, Aerial, Subsea). The uncertainty radius visualizes as a halo ring on both the Bloch sphere and the GPS map. Set a custom altitude to anchor your quantum origin underground, subsea, or in near-space. WHO IS THIS FOR Physicists, geodesists, engineers, and anyone curious about where quantum mechanics and physical location intersect. GPS2Quantum does not simplify the physics. It applies it. Location is a quantum state. SUBSCRIPTION Requires a subscription. Download is free with a trial (Monthly: 7 days, Annual: 14 days). After the trial, subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. Shturman is a car and walking navigator that keeps its bearings when GPS is jammed or reports a fake position. HOW IT WORKS When satellites disappear or suddenly place you in another city or country, Shturman notices, ignores them, and moves your position along the route using your phone's motion sensors (dead reckoning). While the position is estimated, the marker turns orange. • Car: advances at the road's planned speed only while your iPhone says you are in a vehicle; recognises turns with the gyroscope. Leave the route without GPS and Shturman asks: "Are you here: [street name]?" • Walking: your steps and the phone's heading. • "Set my position": drag the map under the pin to show where you are. SAFETY • Air-raid alerts by oblast and for Kyiv city: a red banner, a short voice message and a status pill while the alert lasts. The route card warns you if a route crosses an oblast under alert. • Nearest shelter: 32,000 civil-protection shelters, basements and metro stations are built into the app, so the nearest one is found without internet. One tap builds the route. • Blackout layer: 6,700 places that work without grid power: "Invincibility Points", fuel stations and pharmacies with generators, and bank branches on the National Bank's POWER BANKING list. EVERY DAY • Offline maps of Ukraine by region. • Trip history with a summary after every trip: distance, time, distance driven without GPS, how far off the position was when GPS returned, and fake-GPS events. Share it if you like. • Search with history, Home and Work; press and hold the map to route anywhere. • Siri: "Shturman home", "Shturman work", "Shturman nearest shelter". • Dark map after sunset, light by day. • Voice guidance in Ukrainian or English. PRIVACY No accounts, ads, analytics or trackers. Trip history, Home and Work, searches and settings stay on your phone. To show the map, find places and build routes, the app sends only what is needed (the map area, the search text, the route's start and destination) to the open services OpenFreeMap, Photon and Valhalla, with no account and no device identifier. HONEST LIMITS • Dead reckoning drifts with distance. Shturman shows the uncertainty and corrects your position as soon as GPS returns. It is a driving aid, not a guarantee. • Map display works offline; building a new route still needs internet today. • Shelter and blackout data are snapshots: check signs on site, places can be closed. • Alerts come from a public feed and may be delayed. Always follow official alerts. PRICE Your first 10 hours of navigation are free. After that, the monthly "Shturman" subscription renews automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple ID; cancel in your subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Restore purchases is available. Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Shturman at free with in-app purchases against GPS2Quantum's subscription. Shturman also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). GPS2Quantum's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. GPS2Quantum sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Shturman sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for GPS2Quantum against 5.0 for Shturman. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively.
GPS2Quantum ships an update weekly, Shturman every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
