About

PrecisionBrew

PrecisionBrew is a brew journal for people who taste the difference. Log what you did, rate what came out, and let the app show you which settings made your best cup. LOG THE WHOLE RECIPE Bean, method, dose, grind size, water, yield, temperature and brew time. Brewing ratio and beverage ratio calculate themselves as you type. Espresso gets its own fields for pre-infusion and pressure stability. Then rate the result: overall stars plus acidity, body and sweetness, with room for flavor notes, aroma and anything else worth remembering. Six brewing methods are ready to go: Espresso, Pour Over, French Press, AeroPress, Moka Pot and Cold Brew. Add your own in a couple of taps. KNOW WHAT IS IN THE BAG Every bean gets an origin, altitude, roaster, roast level and roast date. A freshness badge tells you at a glance whether it is still resting, in the window, or past its peak. Add the bag weight and the app subtracts every dose you brew, so you know how many grams are left and when you are running low. SEE WHICH SETTINGS ACTUALLY WON Once you have a few brews logged, the journal shows your totals: how many brews, your top bean, your favorite method, your average rating, and how your ratings have moved over time. Open any bean and the dial-in charts plot your rating against grind size, dose and brew time, so the combination that keeps scoring highest is impossible to miss. BREW IT AGAIN Found a winner? One tap opens a new brew already filled in with those settings, ready to tweak. Search the journal by bean, method, notes or aroma, and filter by bean, method, date or minimum rating when the history gets long. A TIMER THAT KEEPS COUNTING Time your pour without leaving the app. The timer stays accurate when you lock the screen or switch away, and when you stop it, one tap logs the brew with the time already filled in. YOURS, THE WAY YOU WORK Grams or ounces. Celsius or Fahrenheit. Light, dark, or follow the system. Text scales with your preferred size across the whole app. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no account and no sign-up. There are no ads and no tracking. There is no third-party code in the app at all, and the app never connects to the internet, because there is nothing to send anywhere. Every bean and every brew lives on your iPhone and travels with your normal device backup. Nothing is collected, because there is no server to collect it. Log a brew, then another, and let the numbers tell you what your palate already suspects.

BeanBench

Features

BeanBench is a coffee log for people who brew at home and drink out. Track the beans you buy, the cups you make, and the cafés you visit, then see how your taste develops over time. LOG BREWS, YOUR WAY - Guided timers with stage-by-stage prompts and haptics: V60, 4:6, the BeanBench House recipes, Chemex, Kalita, AeroPress, French press, Stagg [XF], cold brew, and cupping, plus any recipe you save yourself. - Quick manual logging when you already know the numbers: dose, water, temperature, grind (with your grinder's own scale), total time, and drawdown. Add a custom brew method if yours isn't listed. - Espresso too: baskets, prep, pressure profiles, and shot outcomes. BUILD YOUR COFFEE LIBRARY - Scan a bag: photograph the label and BeanBench reads it on your device, including the roaster, origin, process, variety, roast date, and tasting notes. Then you review and save. Photos never leave your phone. - Or import from an AI assistant: copy a prompt, attach your bag photos in the assistant you already use, then paste the reply back. - Track price, bag size, rest days after roast, and whether you'd buy again. Resting reminders tell you when a bag is ready. RATE WITH PRECISION - Five stars, with quarter-star steps. Tap for speed, drag for precision. CHECK IN AT CAFÉS - Log drinks at coffee shops with photos, prices, and ratings. See your visits on a map and in stats. Earn badges as your coffee map grows. SEE YOUR TASTE DEVELOP - The Coffee Passport automatically stamps countries and flavor families based on what you log. - Analytics show brew trends, spending, top coffees, and what you actually reorder. YOUR DATA, YOURS - Everything lives on your device. Optional iCloud sync uses your private iCloud account, with live sync status in Settings so you always know where things stand. We never see your data. - Full backup and restore to a single file. CSV and JSON export for everything. No account. No ads. No tracking.
