Create conversations that matter. Parla is a communication skill development practice. You speak. An AI trained on established communication research evaluates how you actually said it — your words, your delivery, your structure — and coaches you toward getting better over time. Not a course. Not a confidence hack. A practice. How it works You're dropped into a real scenario. No script, no hints. You speak your response naturally, the way you would in the moment. Parla listens — not just to what you said, but how you said it. Then it breaks down exactly what worked, what didn't, and why. Do it again. Get a little better. Come back tomorrow. What Parla develops Skills that transfer across every conversation that matters: giving and receiving feedback, navigating difficult conversations, building rapport, reading the room, holding your ground under pressure, running meetings people actually want to be in. Each competency has three layers. You start where you are, and the system moves with you as your skills grow. Why it's different Most apps will sell you a framework and call it coaching. Parla puts you in the conversation first — then shows you the framework after you've already needed it. That gap, between attempting and understanding, is where real learning happens. Your growth path tracks the conversations you've gotten better at — with evidence. Your own attempts, your own voice, your own improvement over time. Built for people who already know communication is the thing. If you've ever left a conversation thinking I should have said that differently — Parla is the practice that makes the next one better. Steady

No script to memorise. Practice for whatever they say. Steady is a flight school for hard conversations. You speak out loud. Someone answers back, in a real voice, in real time. They have a position and they hold it. And you watch what your words cost while you are still saying them. START WITH A BASELINE Eight questions about how these conversations actually feel, then five minutes in a room picked for the seat you are in. The read-out puts what you said about yourself next to what the run showed: what is working, what you might not be seeing, and where to start. A STRUCTURE TO LEAN ON Five phases - pre-flight, take-off, cruise, turbulence, landing - and every run is marked against them in words, never a score. Marks read what you did. There is no script to memorise. A PLAN FOR YOUR SEAT Six weeks, built from your baseline and the conversations your seat finds riskiest. Two sessions a week on the days you choose, five to eight minutes each, ending in a proficiency check. THE ROOM You talk. She answers. She interrupts, goes quiet, gets defensive, softens. Her state is drawn above her and it moves while you speak, so you see how she takes each sentence as you say it. Choose how hard it goes and the room draws its own curveballs, hidden until they happen. If you are somewhere you cannot speak, type instead: same room, same instruments. TAKE IT BACK Pull back one beat and say it differently. The two attempts run side by side. THE FLIGHT LOG Not a grade. What worked, the moment it turned, and the sentence it turned on - scrub back and hear yourself say it. Then what they walked away thinking, in their words. PROGRESS Since your baseline: how long you take to get to the point, how often you hedge, how long you can sit inside a silence, and the blind spots closing. LEARN Eleven short courses on the conversations new managers find hardest, each with articles, talks and books picked for them. Read one, then practise it. Pass a checkride to earn the rating. OVER A HUNDRED ROOMS Feedback - the friend who was your peer last month. The one who was passed over for your job. Your strongest performer, who talks over everyone. Boundaries - 11pm Slack. A report who goes around you. Friday at five, again. Saying no - no to your boss. No promotion this cycle. Carrying a decision you did not make. More for your line of work. Or bring your own: describe the conversation you are dreading and Steady builds that room. A REAL ONE COMING UP Prepare for it, practise it, then say how it went. Steady checks in when you asked it to. PRIVACY, BECAUSE YOU ARE NAMING REAL PEOPLE Your audio is never saved. It is processed as you speak and then it is gone. Your transcripts stay on this phone, encrypted. Real names never leave it. When you name a colleague, that name is replaced with a placeholder before anything is sent. There is no account, so there is nothing of yours on a server to lose. The counterpart is played by a language model, in character, and the debrief is written the same way. What you say in a run is sent as text - names already replaced - so they have something to answer. It is not used to train anyone's model. WHAT THIS IS NOT Not therapy, not HR advice, and not a script to memorise. If what you describe needs reporting rather than practice, Steady stops and says so. STEADY PRO The baseline flight, every room, an hour of practice a week, phase marks, your plan, Progress, proficiency checks, Take It Back, Compare Runs and Drills. The self-check and the whole library are free. $59.99 a year, with the first 7 days free, or $9.99 a month. Prices in your local currency are shown in the app before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
