Stay connected with the Veterans IP community. Veterans Intellectual Property (VIP) empowers veteran inventors, entrepreneurs, and small business owners to protect their ideas and build lasting value from their creativity. Whether you've invented a product, launched a brand, or have an idea you're ready to develop — VIP connects you with the resources, attorneys, and mentors to make it real. What VIP Offers: Provisional patent and trademark filing assistance Access to a network of pro bono IP attorneys and patent agents Step-by-step guidance on IP strategy and commercialization Mentorship from veteran entrepreneurs who've been where you are Support navigating the USPTO, patent process, and licensing options Who We Serve: VIP serves U.S. military veterans — Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, and all eras of service. If you served, we're here for you. Why IP Matters for Veterans: Many veterans leave service with hard-won skills, unique experiences, and innovative ideas — but lack access to the legal and business infrastructure to protect them. VIP bridges that gap. Our Mission: To ensure that no veteran inventor loses their idea, their brand, or their business opportunity due to a lack of resources or legal support. Veterans Intellectual Property is a nonprofit organization. Our services are provided to qualifying veterans.
