Notifications from the 451 publishing system follow the mail protocol, but with custom headers and custom bodies that create a fully distributed system for 451 notification. Parties can give signed referrals that introduce a party and push an email into the inbox owner's awareness. Comments associated with 451 publications can flow through the client also, leveraging email to create an advanced communication system.
