Buzzline is a new microtransit service for a designated zone in Sanford and key points in Lee County. The easy-to-use mobile app allows riders to schedule rides in advance or request rides in real-time. People traveling in parts of Sanford and Lee County, NC, can quickly secure rides to anywhere within the pilot service zone. Whether you're headed to school or work, shopping, or going to a medical appointment, Buzzline makes it easy to travel in the designated service zone. Simply download the app, enter your destination, and one of our vehicles will pick you up within approximately 25 minutes and deliver you to your desired location. A wheelchair-accessible van is available upon request. Hours of operation are weekdays from 6am to 8pm and weekends from 7am to 7pm. Microtransit is a technology-enabled transit service to provide pooled on-demand transportation with dynamic routing. Its routes are nimble; its “schedules” aren’t really schedules at all, as they shift constantly based on rider demand. This affordable, on-demand flexible service is provided by the City of Sanford and Lee County through the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Mobility for Everyone, Everywhere in NC (MEE NC) Grant. The service is administered by COLTS.
