Verdict
CountIt and Upper Decky both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Upper Decky's written reviews are positive against 38% of CountIt's. CountIt's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (162 vs 13). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. CountIt sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Upper Decky sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for CountIt against 5.0 for Upper Decky. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CountIt has 162 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 38% of CountIt's written reviews are positive against 100% of Upper Decky's.
CountIt ships an update fortnightly, Upper Decky every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
