Acty is here to help with your procrastination. Unlike other anti-procrastination apps, we will not try to induce "discipline" or track your habits. Procrastination is not about laziness or time management. It is about fears and unpleasant emotions. We will identify the core reason for your avoidance and develop a way to address it, so you understand the real conflict or fear you are facing. Which will lead to less procrastination and more action. Being able to act, when others procrastinate, is a superpower. The Time Is Luck app is your new cape. YOU'RE NOT BROKEN There is a task, right now, that you want to complete, but you can't get yourself to start. Maybe there's more than one. The tasks may vary, but the feeling is familiar. You set aside the time but nothing gets done. The promise of action turns into the distraction of busy work, doom scrolling, or one more video game. At the end of the day you feel like you've lost a little bit of trust in yourself and your ability to follow through. That isn't a character flaw, and it isn't laziness. It's two different parts of your brain disagreeing. The part that makes plans and sets goals is completely separate from the part that decides whether you take action. Before anything happens, a gatekeeper (a small structure deep in your brain called the basal ganglia) checks one thing. How is this going to feel? If your past experience of similar actions was pleasurable or rewarding, you act with motivation. If your past experience was painful or overwhelming, it blocks you. Not as punishment, as protection. Your gatekeeper isn't broken. It is doing its job, just on data you'd rather it ignored. You can't reason with a blocked gatekeeper, but you can give it new evidence in the only language it understands. The researcher Luca Dellanna calls this the expected emotional outcome. To give your gatekeeper an action it can approve, Time Is Luck runs four strategies in sequence, in about four minutes. A FUTURE WORTH PICTURING The work you have been wanting to do is actually getting done. The conversation you have been rehearsing for weeks happens. The training session you keep skipping is completed. Over time, something deeper takes hold. You begin to live with the satisfaction of knowing your own decisions become your actions. Your future self becomes a partner you can plan with. You promise yourself something on Monday and find, by Friday, that the promise was kept. The confidence this builds is not the loud kind. It is the kind that comes from a private record of follow through, accumulating week by week. You walk into the rooms that matter to you with something real to bring, and you speak with the weight of a person who does what they say they will do. Your sense of self-trust, confidence and agency becomes the natural result. HOW IT WORKS Each strategy changes how the task is presented to your gatekeeper. Make it smaller, clearer, more meaningful, or less unpleasant, and the gate opens. The four strategies all do this in different ways. โข Strategy 1: Reshape the emotional charge around the task. Same task, different feel. โข Strategy 2: Stop arguing with the resistance. Acknowledge it, then act in service of who you want to be. โข Strategy 3: Take the next step small enough that the gatekeeper can't find anything to refuse. โข Strategy 4: Commit to a duration, not an outcome. UNLIMITED AI COACHING (PRO) When the basic flow can't move you through, Pro gives you unlimited conversations with an AI coach trained in therapeutic techniques. It won't tell you to "try harder." It will help you see why you're stuck and find your own way forward. Act now. Life is short. Time is luck.
