Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Skingomz at 5.0 against Pinepods's 4.3. Skingomz also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 10 months). Pinepods's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Skingomz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pinepods has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Pinepods ships an update every 10 months, Skingomz weekly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
