Remember the place. Keep the details. Return with a new idea. Photographers Journal is your personal field notebook for photography. Save places as you explore, attach photos and notes, and build a map of the locations you want to remember. Your journal stays on your iPhone, with no account required. CAPTURE THE MOMENT Save a location with a tap, or take a photo as you create an entry. PhotoJournal records the time and available GPS coordinates, accuracy, and compass heading. The Home screen shows GPS and compass readiness before you capture. If a reading is unavailable, you can still save your entry. SAVE STRAIGHT FROM PHOTOS Found a photograph of a place you want to remember? In Photos, tap Share and choose PhotoJournal. Preview the photo's location and available capture details, then save it directly to your journal. The shared photo must include GPS coordinates. Available original date and camera information come from the photo's metadata. BUILD YOUR PERSONAL MAP Explore saved places on your own map, browse your locations, search by name, and mark favorites. Keep reference photos and notes together so you can remember a viewpoint, a composition, or an idea for your next visit. REMEMBER THE LIGHT Review sunrise, sunset, and moon information for a saved capture moment. Look up weather for that time and place when the service can provide it. Weather requires an internet connection and may not be available for every date or location. WORK OFFLINE Save entries and browse your locally stored journal without an internet connection. Map imagery and weather depend on service availability. Your entries, notes, and attached photos are stored locally on your device. MAKE IT YOURS WITH PREMIUM The core journal is free. An optional one-time Premium purchase adds tags and tag filters, a custom order for detail panels, and rich text notes with headings, bold, italic, and color. No subscription is required. From a familiar woodland to a viewpoint discovered on the road, keep a record of the places that inspire your photography.
