Bravo — AAC Powered by AI Bravo is a free, open-source AAC application that uses Google Gemini AI to generate dynamic, personalized communication options in real time. Unlike traditional AAC apps with fixed, pre-programmed vocabulary, Bravo learns the user's world and creates relevant options they might never have found on a static board. What Makes Bravo Different Most AAC apps are limited to what a clinician or caregiver manually programs in advance. Bravo uses multiple layers of real-world context — the user's current mood, location, activities, communication partners, personal narrative, and diary — to generate options that are accurate, timely, and authentically the user's own voice. Key Features • AI-Generated Communication — Google Gemini AI turns context into natural, personalized responses that sound like the user, not a preset device. • Deep Personal Context — Bravo draws from the user's story, relationships, routines, location, mood, and diary to surface more relevant communication options in every moment. • Show Me Guided Phrases — Administrators and SLPs can demonstrate any phrase step by step, with the app guiding the user to each word on the board. AI Auto Clean fills in articles and grammar for words not yet on the board. • Wake Word Activation — Users can activate Bravo hands-free with a custom wake word for fast, in-the-moment communication. • Tap Interface with Custom Boards — A fully customizable word board system with support for sub-boards, navigation buttons, pictograms, and AI-generated word suggestions based on context. • Multi-Language Support — Set one language for the AAC user and a different one for communication partners, with the ability to switch by location. • Auditory Scanning — Purpose-built scanning interface for single-switch access users. • Favorite Topics — Bring current events, interests, and fresh conversation starters into daily communication automatically. • Social Games — Play 20 Questions, Guess Who, and Tic-Tac-Toe in accessible formats designed to spark real social connection. • AAC Vocabulary Migration — Import existing vocabulary from Accent/NuVoice® and TouchChat® to get started quickly. • Story Builder — Collaborate on back-and-forth stories that can be saved and shared. • Remote Administration — Update boards and settings from any device and push changes to the user's device instantly. Free. Always. For Everyone. Bravo is completely free for individual users with no subscriptions, trials, or paywalls. The full source code is publicly available on GitHub. Families, SLPs, educators, and developers are all welcome to use it, study it, and contribute to it. Brady's Story BRAVO stands for Brady's Voice. Brady Thomas has used AAC for over 20 years. His parents, Blake and Anne, built Bravo because they believed there had to be a better way — one that let Brady start the conversation, share what he was actually thinking, and truly connect with the people around him. With Bravo, he can. "With Bravo, we now hear Brady's TRUE voice. He can express his TRUE self in ways and places we could have only imagined before." Bravo is free for every AAC user who needs a voice. We intend to keep it that way.

About

Fin AAC

Features

Fin AAC puts frontier AI to work on one thing: helping your loved one be heard. Fin is a talking picture board for people of any age who can't rely on speech. Tap a picture and Fin says the word out loud, so the people nearby hear it right away. But unlike a fixed grid that someone has to program by hand, Fin's board thinks. AI picks the words, draws the pictures and learns from every tap. WHO IT'S FOR Children and adults who are minimally speaking or non-speaking: autism, apraxia, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, stroke, ALS, or anyone just starting out with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). And the families, caregivers, teachers and therapists who support them. There are no boards to build: enter your loved one's age and interests and Fin is ready to use. HOW IT WORKS • It reads the moment. Fin weighs where you are (with your permission), the time of day, what they just tapped and their favorite things, and puts the words they're most likely to need right on the screen: nuggets and ketchup at a restaurant, swings and slides at the park, bath and pajamas at bedtime. • It learns them. Words they reach for in a place move to the front there. The more they use Fin, the better it knows them. • Any word, with a picture. Tap the microphone and say any word. Fin finds its picture, and if there isn't one yet, it draws one, along with related words to go with it. • "Try again" for new ideas. If none of the words fit, one tap brings a fresh set. MADE TO BE YOURS • Core words like "more", "help" and "all done" are always one tap away. • Add your own words and use family photos as pictures. • Pin favorites where they're easy to reach. • A caregiver lock keeps editing and settings from being changed by accident. • Room for more words on a tablet. FREE, PRIVATE AND CALM • Free to use, with no locked features. • No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Taps, the profile you enter and your photos stay on the device, your voice is never sent to us, and word suggestions are worked out on the device itself. Location is used only to recognise the kind of place you're in, and only when you allow it. • A quiet ocean palette, clear labels, and motion that respects your device's reduced-motion setting. MADE BY A FAMILY Fin started as a tool for our own son. We use it every day, at home, at the store and out with friends, and we fix what we find. Questions, or wondering whether Fin is a good fit for your family? Write to support@divergentsolutionscollective.com. Fin AAC is a communication aid. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition.
