I was looking for a simple water tracker. One that let me open the app, tap a button to add my drink, and get back to my life. What I found were apps filled with ads, cluttered dashboards, and constant pressure to buy a subscription. I wanted a tool, not a chore. So I built Biru. Biru is the water tracker I always wanted. It's built on one core idea: tracking your water should be fast, simple, and completely frustration-free. WHY BIRU IS DIFFERENT • NO CLUTTER, PURE FOCUS Your day is a single rising wave. Your total sits in the middle and inverts as the water covers it. That's the whole screen — nothing else gets in your way. • GET IN, GET OUT, GET HYDRATED Log a drink with one tap. Set up to three quick-add sizes to match the bottles and glasses you actually use, in millilitres or fluid ounces. You're done in seconds. • NO ADS. NO SUBSCRIPTIONS. NO PAYWALLS. Every feature in Biru is free, forever. There's an optional tip jar if you'd like to support development, but it unlocks nothing — the app is already complete without it. • ON YOUR WRIST Biru comes with a full Apple Watch app. Log a drink without your phone, pick another size, or check your week. Add a complication to any watch face — the large one shows the same rising water as the app. • ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Five widget styles in small and medium. Tap a size to log it without opening the app, or see your last seven days at a glance. Press and hold any widget to choose which sizes it offers. • A SIMPLE, SMART START Answer a few quick questions and Biru suggests a personal daily goal based on your weight, age, activity and climate. It's a starting point, not a rule — adjust it whenever you like. • OPTIONAL APPLE HEALTH SYNC Turn Health on and your drinks are saved alongside the rest of your data. Leave it off and Biru works exactly the same. • BUILT IN THE OPEN Biru has a roadmap inside the app. Suggest a feature, report a bug, vote on what matters to you, and see what's coming next. If you've been searching for a water tracker that respects your time and your focus, your search is over.

Every drop you log adds to a lifetime total that never resets. Watch your hydration compound from a single Water Drop into tiers you unlock one surprise at a time — growing with you, forever. Most water apps reset your progress every night. Droply doesn't. Every milliliter you log adds to a single lifetime score that compounds — forever. Watch it climb through tier after tier, each one revealed only when you reach it. Nothing you've built resets. Not ever. THE CORE MECHANIC Tap the drop button to log your default amount. Tap the edit pill to pick a custom volume. 1 ml = 10 droplets. Your lifetime count grows with every sip — and it never goes down. TIERS OF IDENTITY You're not just tracking water. You're building something permanent. Each tier you cross triggers a full-screen celebration and a shareable badge. Reach the Keg — then keep climbing toward the tiers no one's seen yet. STREAK + FREEZE SYSTEM Log water every day to build your streak. Earn a freeze token at every 7-day milestone — one automatically saves your streak when you miss a day. Miss a day without one and the streak resets, but your lifetime total never does. Nothing you've built can be taken away. BUILT DIFFERENTLY · No account. No sign-up. No ads. Ever. · Home and Lock Screen widgets — log a glass without opening the app. · Your progress syncs privately across your own devices through iCloud — nothing ever leaves your Apple account. · No daily reset. Your drops from six months ago still count today. · Particle animations, ambient glow, and a background that shifts from desert to ocean as you climb the tier ladder. SHARE YOUR PROGRESS Every tier you earn generates a shareable card. Post your milestone. Challenge a friend. Water is competitive now. DROPLY PRO — ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION Unlock everything once and keep it for life: · 3 freeze tokens instead of 1 — triple streak protection · Your daily intake graph — see every trend over time · Custom reminder times — up to 5, set to your day · A supporter badge on your journey No subscription, no recurring charge. Pay once, it's yours forever. PRIVACY Droply collects zero data. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party servers. Your hydration history lives on your device and in your own private iCloud — we never see it, and it's never sold or shared.

Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Biru at free against Droply's free with in-app purchases. Droply's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.
