Where will I sleep tonight? Where can I find water? And does this shelter really live up to what the map promises? If you travel by bike or on foot, you know these questions. ShelterMap helps. On the map you'll find shelters and huts, but also water points, campsites and many other places that make a difference along the way. Sometimes it's a rest area with a table, sometimes a farm shop or an apple tree by the roadside. What makes ShelterMap special are the people behind it. Many spots were added by people who were actually there, others come from open data sources and are gradually completed by the community. The photos come from someone who pitched their tent in exactly that place. So do the ratings. That way you get an honest picture before you take the detour. You can see what facilities there are, whether the place costs anything and how good the mobile reception is. With Apple Look Around you can even have a look around beforehand. Once you've arrived, you check in. That way you keep track of everywhere you've been and collect small achievements along the way. Spots you want to remember go into your own collections. Handy for planning a tour, but also for your favourite places nearby. And if you know a place that's still missing, just add it. It only takes a moment, and you take the photos directly with the camera. We take a quick look at every new spot before it appears on the map, so everyone can rely on it. ShelterMap is available in German, English, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. Good to have you here. Safe travels!

Two Wheels Apart is the map for motorcycle travellers. Find out who is riding near you, where to sleep tonight and which road is worth the detour. Ride your GPX tracks turn by turn, stay with fellow riders for free, and keep going when the signal is gone. Built by a motorcycle mechanic who travels solo, for everyone who rides far from home. Alone, but never lonely. RIDERS NEAR YOU See who is on the road around you, say hello, meet up and ride together. Your position is shown about a kilometre off, never to the metre, and only when you switch sharing on. One tap on the eye takes you off the map again. PLACES WORTH FINDING Wild camps, campsites, water, workshops, viewpoints, hostels, great roads, off road tracks and local secrets, shared by riders who have been there. Add your own spots with photos, save the good ones and see how many riders kept a place. A spot with the owner's own photo is marked as verified. RIDE YOUR TRACKS Import any GPX file: planned routes, recorded rides or sections of long distance trails. Ride along the line with turn by turn directions on screen, pick your direction and where you join, and see every marked place along the way. Switch to another segment by road whenever plans change. PLAN THE BIG TRIP Put tracks, places and the roads between them in order for an expedition, add notes and share the plan with other riders if you like. Record your own rides and share your tracks with the community. NO SIGNAL, NO PROBLEM Download maps and road data for the countries on your route. The map, your spots, riders and hosts of your regions and the way to your track keep working offline. New spots are sent as soon as you are back online. A BED AT A FELLOW RIDER'S Riders can offer other riders a place to sleep, always free. Hosting and stays are for verified profiles only, and the exact location is shared only after a request is accepted. TRAVEL INFORMATION Tap a country on the map for the complete travel and safety advice of the German Federal Foreign Office, with its date and a link to the source. YOUR PRIVACY Your exact position is never shown to anyone. No ads and no third party tracking. Spots, tracks, hosts and profiles can be reported, riders can be blocked, and you can delete your account in the app at any time. GOOD TO KNOW • In English and German. • For riders aged 18 and over. • Directions are shown on screen; there are no spoken announcements. • Keep your eyes on the road and follow traffic rules and local access rules.
