ToneDex can see the pitch stability(Tuner). ToneDex can analyze the sound using 5 key parameters: RMS (Loudness/Power) ZCR (Noise / Breathiness) Spectral Centroid (Brightness / Sharpness) Bandwidth (Timbre Spread) Brightness Index (High-frequency emphasis) ToneDex is designed especially for wind and acoustic instrument players who want to explore differences in setup, technique, or equipment (e.g., mouthpieces, reeds, embouchure). While originally designed for saxophone comparison, it can be used for any monophonic instrument that produces steady tones. If you're trying out new mouthpieces, comparing tone qualities, or simply want a fresh perspective on your sound, ToneDex offers a structured and visual way to reflect on your tone.

This started as a tool, and grew into an obsession. Yr Xtals is seriously addictive. I can, and often have, been working on testing it and ended up draining hours just watching the visualizer dance to my music. It's fantastic. I can't imagine if you like music that you won't like this. Especially if you're an audio engineer and are hoping to gain a bit more perspective on your work. That is why I originally made this, and while it has grown into something much larger, it is still a precision audio analysis utility that I know you'll fall in love with, like I have. Enjoy!
