THE ARC DIFFERENCE Arc doesn't just block apps - it redirects your attention with a powerful three-part system: - Session Limits: Automatic breaks when a session has reached the set limit. No more unintentional doomscroll sessions. Daily limits are not helpful when the problem is getting sucked into the scroll hole and not realizing it. That's why we built session limits! - Smart Nudges: Gentle reminders about your to-dos while you scroll - Integrated To-Do Lists: Track what really matters, all in one place - Advanced Analytics: Track every session with precision. See exactly when you close apps yourself (exits) vs. when the timer saves you (lockouts). Discover your most addicting apps through unblock tracking, identify your best and worst self-control patterns, and get AI-powered recommendations tailored to YOUR behavior. No more guessing where to improve, the data shows you exactly which apps need stricter limits, where you're building great habits, and actionable steps to reduce your screen time based on real patterns, not generic advice or behavior patterns. HOW IT WORKS Select your distracting apps (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.) Add your daily tasks and goals Get Nudged with your to-do tasks when you're mindlessly scrolling Session Limits create automatic breaks after extended sessions Watch scrolling turn into productivity BUILT FOR YOUR LIFESTYLE Set your bedtime to switch from productivity Nudges to Sleep Reminders. Arc adapts to help you make better use of your time all day long. PERFECT FOR: People who unconsciously doomscroll and want to stop Professionals who lose focus to social media Students procrastinating on assignments Anyone who wants to build healthy daily habits Scroll Goblins People tired of feeling guilty after doomscrolling START SEEING RESULTS Reclaim hours of your day Complete the tasks you've been avoiding Track scrolling habits through intelligent insights Build habits that stick Rebuild a healthy relationship with social media Feel accomplished, not guilty Download Arc and turn scrolling into productivity. Your phone habits have a cost you can't feel in the moment, but Yeti can show you. Meet your tiny time guardian: a companion whose feelings reflect your screen time choices in real time. Yeti isn't another blocker or clinical dashboard. It's the first screen time app that pairs real phone usage tracking with an emotional character you actually care about - so you change your habits because you want to, not because you're locked out. HOW YETI WORKS 1) Pick the apps you want to manage (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, or anything else that eats your time). 2) Set a daily target for each one. 3) Yeti takes it from there. When you open a shielded app, Yeti doesn't block you. Instead, it gently asks: "Hey! Can we chat first?" You decide how long you need and you can always say "I'm good, actually" and move on. Every session is your choice. While you're using an app, a persistent timer keeps you aware of the time passing. When you stay within your targets, Yeti is happy. When you go over, Yeti shows you through its own feelings what that choice costs. AN EMOTIONAL MIRROR, NOT A CHART Yeti has five emotional states that shift with your behavior, from content and cheerful to visibly upset. You're not reading a screen time report. You're seeing the impact on a companion who cares about you. That's the difference between a number you ignore and a feeling you can't. A NUDGE, NOT A LOCK Most screen time apps punish you with restrictions that you eventually resent and bypass. Yeti takes a different approach: awareness before action. You always have agency. Every time you choose less, it feels like a real win, because it is one. WIRED INTO YOUR ACTUAL BEHAVIOR Unlike pet apps where the character lives in its own world, Yeti is connected to your real phone usage. It tracks per-app daily targets, monitors sessions in real time, and reacts to what you actually do and not what you tell it you did. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO'VE TRIED EVERYTHING You've tried Screen Time limits and bypassed them in seconds. You've deleted apps and re-downloaded them by lunch. You've gone cold turkey and collapsed. Yeti is for people who know willpower alone doesn't work and are ready for something that does. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Arc at 4.3 against Yeti's 3.0. Arc also leads on ratings volume (27 vs 4). Yeti's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Arc sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Yeti sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Arc holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arc has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Arc's written reviews are positive against 67% of Yeti's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Arc ships an update every 2 weeks, Yeti every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
