Crew Rest Calculator App vs CrewRest+

Crew Rest Management & Flight Time Calculations Enhance your flight deck efficiency with this essential dual-purpose utility designed specifically for airline pilots and aviation professionals. This application combines İntelligent Crew Rest Management and specialized Aviation Time Arithmetic into one seamless interface. Designed to reduce workload and minimize calculation errors, this app allows you to manage rest patterns and logbook entries with precision and speed. MODULE 1: CREW REST CALCULATOR Create fair, accurate, and operational-ready rest schedules in seconds. This module eliminates the need for manual mental math during cruise, ensuring equitable rest distribution. Multi-Crew Support: Instantly generate rest periods for 2, 3, or 4 pilot operations (Augmented and Heavy crews). Smart Rounding (NEW): Toggle our intelligent rounding algorithm to align rest end times to the nearest 5-minute interval. It automatically redistributes remainder minutes to ensure the most equitable rest distribution possible. Customizable Handover Gaps: Define specific time gaps (0 to 15 minutes) for seat changes, briefings, and cockpit handover procedures. Error Validation: Automatic input checks to ensure times are logical and fit within the duty period. Clear Output: Displays exact start/end times and durations in a high-visibility format, ready for the cabin crew briefing. MODULE 2: FLIGHT TIME CALCULATOR A robust tool engineered for aviation mathematics. Unlike standard calculators, this module processes hours and minutes natively—perfect for logbook totals and FTL tracking. Intelligent Input Recognition: * Quick Format (HHMM): Type '1030' for 10h 30m. Standard Format (H:MM): Use the colon separator for traditional entry. Minutes Only: Simply type '45' for 45 minutes. Calculation History: An audit log displays your last 10 operations, allowing you to verify entries when summing up monthly or yearly block times. Direct Time Arithmetic: Add or subtract flight times directly without the need for decimal conversions. USE CASES Calculating total block hours for pilot logbooks. Splitting bunker rest times on long-haul flights with smart rounding. Determining remaining Flight Duty Period (FDP). Verifying roster and duty totals. Streamline your cockpit operations today with accurate, reliable, and pilot-focused tools.

CrewRest+ is an application designed for flight crew members, both cockpit and cabin crew, operating long-haul flights. It is a rest scheduling calculator (and duty-service scheduling for cabin crew) that provides a simple and efficient flight timeline, displaying the duration, start time, and end time of each rest and/or duty-service period based on the entered data. Several scenarios can be selected, such as splitting the total duration into 3 equal rest periods, or 4, or even 6. Some airline-specific scenarios have been requested by pilots and are also available in the scenario catalog: Cathay, Virgin, Swiss, and Air New Zealand options. Breaks between rest periods are defined by the user. For cabin crew, breaks before rest periods and before duty periods can be set differently. Once the timeline is displayed, durations can be adjusted according to the actual flight context (except for the airline-specific scenarios mentioned above). The timeline can also be shared as a PNG image with other crew members. The application is available on both iPhone and iPad. --- Note : The app includes a free trial allowing up to 5 timeline calculations, with full access to all features. After these 5 calculations have been used, continued access to the app and its features requires an auto-renewable annual subscription priced at $6.99 per year. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings under “Subscriptions“.
