Recording is built for real rooms: pause and resume the same file, keep capturing while you switch apps or lock the screen, and connect a Bluetooth mic. Schedule a start and stop time and it records without you. Speech to text uses Apple speech recognition. With a connection, audio is processed by Apple's speech service, the same one behind Siri Dictation, for the sharpest result. With no connection, the recognizer built into your iPhone takes over automatically, so a transcript still comes back. Many spoken languages are supported. Every word carries a timestamp. The transcript highlights along with playback, karaoke style, and tapping a word jumps the audio to that moment. Add a title, tags, mood and place, then browse by calendar or stats.
