Will they be tall like their dad? Most parents guess from pencil lines on a door frame, and the door frame stays behind when you move. Centile works out your child’s most likely adult height and the range around it. It uses both parents’ heights, and from age 4 your child’s own height and weight too. Every number comes from published research, named in the app. WHAT YOU GET • Their likely adult height and range • A growth chart from birth to 20, with every height check kept for good • A monthly height check you do together • How they compare with other children their age • Exercise, food and sleep guidance for teens • One subscription for the whole family At 13, your child can move their record to their own phone and carry on. Food, sleep and exercise help children grow normally. None of them adds height or changes the range. It’s a guide, not medical advice, and it can’t spot a growth problem. If you’re worried about your child’s growth, talk to their doctor. Centile works on one phone. Everything stays on that phone. There’s no account, and nothing syncs to another device. No ads, no tracking. Apple backups may include app data. Centile is a subscription. It renews until cancelled and is managed in your Apple account. Age comparison uses the CDC 2000 US growth reference. CDC does not endorse Centile. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Standly at 4.6 against Centile's 4.0. Standly also leads on ratings volume (115 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Centile's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Standly sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Centile sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Standly holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Standly has 115 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Standly ships an update every 3 weeks, Centile every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
