Requires a Termix server. Install at https://docs.termix.site/install Termix gives you full control of your servers from your phone. Connect to your Termix server and manage everything from one place. SSH Terminal Open multiple terminal sessions at once with tab-based navigation. Switch between a standard keyboard and a custom terminal keyboard built for SSH use. Customize the keyboard layout and key repeat, save snippets for quick reuse, recall past commands from the history bar, and use hardware keyboards, dictation, and VoiceOver. Sessions stay alive in the background. File Manager Browse, view, edit, move, and manage files and folders over SSH. Pin files and add folder shortcuts to get back to what you use most. Compress files, download them through the share sheet, and restore deleted items from the trash. Server Stats Monitor CPU, memory, disk, network, uptime, running processes, open ports, firewall rules, and login history in real time. Server alerts show up on the hosts screen. SSH Tunnels Create, start, and stop SSH tunnels, and set them up per host right from the host editor. Docker View and manage Docker containers directly from your phone. Remote Desktop Access a graphical desktop on your server (RDP, VNC, and Telnet supported). Home Screen Widgets Add widgets to jump straight into a host, run a snippet, or check server status without opening the app. Pick which hosts each widget shows and which tab it opens. Host Management Organize your servers into folders. Save credentials and SSH keys per host. Use Quick Connect to jump into a session fast, and wake a machine over the network with Wake-on-LAN. Settings Customize your terminal appearance, keyboard layout, and keys. Manage API keys, active sessions, and two-factor authentication for your Termix account, plus change your password or delete your account. App Lock Lock the app behind Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint, with a PIN as backup.
Helmrig Shell

The terminal from your desk, now on iPhone and iPad. Helmrig Shell is a native terminal — btop, tmux, vim, true color, ligatures, full escape-sequence support, rendered natively. Not a web view, not a cut-down mobile shell. A real desktop terminal that feels like the one you already use. Your sessions run on your own Mac or server. The iPad or iPhone is just the window — so they never drop. Lock the screen, lose signal, switch to another app, come back hours later: every tab, every running process, your full scrollback, exactly where you left it. No reconnect dance, no lost output. Drop a file onto the terminal and it uploads to your machine, with the full path dropped straight into your command line. Hand a screenshot to a CLI tool, attach a file to a running command — it just works, as if the file were already there. Built on libghostty for the rendering you'd expect from a desktop terminal. Hardware keyboard shortcuts, split panes, tabs that name themselves after what's running. Designed for iPad first, not ported from somewhere else. Works anywhere over an end-to-end encrypted connection — at your desk, on the couch, or across the world. Not limited to your local network. Helmrig Shell requires a subscription to use. A free trial is available, after which continued access requires Helmrig Shell Pro at $8.99/month. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. WHAT IT IS A window into your own machine. Your shell, your tools, your environment — running where they always have, now reachable from your iPad. WHAT IT NEEDS A Mac or Linux machine you control, running the Helmrig server. Setup takes one command. PRIVACY No third-party SDKs. No analytics. No crash reporting. Helmrig Shell servers never see terminal output. Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Helmrig Shell at every 2 weeks against Termix's monthly. Termix's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
