About

Ember

Ember is built for gradual reduction: not cold turkey on Monday, but step by step at your own pace. You honestly log every cigarette you smoke - the app turns those records into a clear picture of your habit and supports every step down. NO SHAMING Going over your goal is information, not failure. The app does not scold and does not scare: no "your streak will burn" notifications, no panic. If you go over the goal on some day, you simply start the streak again the next day, without judgement. The goal itself keeps stepping down with the plan: being easy on a bad day is not being easy on the trend. HOW IT WORKS 1) Log cigarettes with one tap - on screen, from the widget, or by voice via Siri: "Log a cigarette in Ember". 2) Set a reduction plan: the goal steps down week by week toward your final target. If the pace proves too fast, the app may offer to ease it, starting no higher than your recent average, and only if you agree. 3) Craving a cigarette? Open craving support: a breathing exercise helps you ride out the wave, and every resisted craving counts as a small win. 4) Tag your reasons ("Stress", "Coffee", "Social" or your own) - and the analytics show what pushes you towards a cigarette most often. WHAT'S INSIDE - Daily trend with average and goal (week, month, 3 months, year, all time), an intensity calendar, intervals between cigarettes, hour-of-day and weekday breakdowns. - Honest statistics: weekly conclusions appear only when your reduction is statistically solid - no cheap congratulations. - Insights about your patterns, computed right on the device. - Milestones for what really matters: record breaks between cigarettes, streaks within your goal, weeks of reduction, resisted cravings, money saved. A separate screen lists what you have earned, with dates, and what is still ahead, with progress. - An optional wellbeing diary: a one-tap mood check-in, a checklist of common withdrawal symptoms, and a note. The wellbeing trend is shown neutrally, with no diagnoses or scores; the app never uploads those entries anywhere. - Savings: how much money stayed with you thanks to cutting down - measured against your own previous level. - Home Screen widgets: today's count, time since the last cigarette, one-tap logging, and a 7-day chart in the medium size. - Apple Watch: one-tap logging, today's count and your goal. - Control Center: log a cigarette without opening the app. - Two reminders - one to log your day, one for the wellbeing check-in. Both are gentle, optional and off by default: the app asks for notification permission only if you switch one of them on. - A 3D pack on the main screen - the same counter in another form: how much of the current pack is gone, and which pack this is. - Export your smoking log to CSV and import it back: back up your records and move them to a new iPhone in a couple of taps. - Export all your data as a single file: entries, wellbeing diary, resisted cravings, milestones and settings - for a new phone or a reinstall. The file is readable; there is no import for it, and the CSV import is what brings the smoking log back. PRIVACY WITHOUT FOOTNOTES Ember runs entirely on your devices: no network, no accounts, no analytics, no ads. The app never sends your data to us or anyone else - only you start an export, and only you pick who receives the file. See the privacy policy for details. Ember on Apple Watch exchanges data only with your paired iPhone. WHO IT IS FOR Adult smokers (18+) who have decided to smoke less or quit for good. Ember does not encourage smoking: honest tracking exists so you can see the truth and build on it. Available in 10 languages; the app follows your device language.
