The Learn While Walking iPhone app helps you practice vocabulary while you move. Simply start walking and words appear automatically after a few steps. Sessions are short, focused, and require no setup or account. The app works fully offline and uses Apple’s built-in motion system to count steps. All data stays on your device: learning progress, vocabulary, and settings are stored locally only. No analytics, no tracking, no servers. You can learn English or German in both directions, across all CEFR levels from A1 to C2. A1 is free, and each language pack includes free starter content. Additional content is available as one-time purchases — no subscriptions. Learning is based on a spaced-repetition (Leitner) approach, focusing practice where it matters most. There are no notifications, reminders, or cloud sync — just a calm, private learning experience designed for walking. iPhone only, iOS 16 or later. Open the app and start walking; the first vocabulary appears after a few steps. You can change the step threshold in Settings. On your device: steps (from iOS), learning progress and learned vocabulary, and app settings. Nothing is sent to servers. Your data stays with you.
