StatusQuest is an innovative educational game developed within the XR4ED Horizon Europe initiative, focusing on accessibility and inclusion. It bridges the gap between blind, visually impaired, and sighted users through a collaborative experience that combines spatial audio and haptic feedback. The game explores connections between Modern Mythology (pop culture, superheroes, cinema, music) and Ancient Culture, inviting players to collaborate on educational challenges set across historical and futuristic worlds. Designed for smartphones and tablets, StatusQuest adapts to museums, schools, and home environments. Co-created with national associations for the blind in Germany and Italy, and supported by cultural institutions like museums and universities, the project promotes inclusive learning, cultural appreciation, and social interaction.

The screen looks empty. It isn't. Somewhere on that blank board hides a shape โ a cat, a key, a dallah, a rocket. Slide your finger across the glass and *feel* it: a soft rumble while you're inside it, a crisp tap every time you cross its edge, silence outside. Build the picture in your mind. Then name it before the clock runs out. DAILY TACTO One hidden shape per day โ the same one for every player on Earth. 90 seconds, 3 guesses, one shot. Keep your streak alive and share your result (no spoilers). CLASSIC Endless practice. Pick a difficulty, pick a category, feel as long as you like. PARTY โ PASS & FEEL 2โ8 players, one iPhone. Everyone feels the same shape; the fastest correct guess takes the round. The perfect "wait, try this" game. ZEN No timer. No guessing. Pick any shape and justโฆ feel it. BUILT TO BE FELT, NOT SEEN Tacto is fully playable eyes-free. Every prompt can be spoken aloud, an optional audio layer mirrors the haptics, and the whole game works beautifully with VoiceOver. For blind and low-vision players this isn't an accessibility mode bolted on later โ it's the same game everyone plays, because nobody can see the shape. PLAY IN YOUR LANGUAGE Fully localized in 36 languages โ switch anytime, right inside the app. PRIVACY Tacto collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your stats never leave your phone. 60+ shapes at launch. A Shape-dex to fill. Game Center streaks, leaderboards, and achievements. One optional purchase (Tacto Pro) unlocks every Zen shape, exclusive app icons, and Draw & Feel mode. Requires an iPhone with a Taptic Engine. Headphones optional. Eyes optional too.
