Not your average quotes app. Most apps toss you a line with no source and move on. Velum does something different: it gives you a quote, then opens it up. Every aphorism comes with its source, its explanation, and the mind behind it. You read, you understand, and each time you grow a little wiser. 20,858 APHORISMS, A LIBRARY TO ROAM Velum doesn't hand you one line a day and go quiet. The whole archive is there to browse: come in through 24 themes, 62 moods, 351 thinkers or 9 historical eras, and keep scrolling — the same aphorism never comes up twice. EVERY QUOTE IS SOURCED No scraped, "who-really-said-it" lines. Each one is grounded in its source — you always know which tradition, text, or idea it came from. EVERY QUOTE IS EXPLAINED Loving a quote is one thing; understanding it is another. In each aphorism's "Details," you'll find what the words truly mean and how they apply to life today. Not decoration — real insight. OR READ BY HOW YOU FEEL You don't have to know the subject. Solitude, courage, a fresh start, late-night thoughts, burnout — 62 doors, and you walk through whichever one matches today. 351 THINKERS, ONE BY ONE From Socrates to Nietzsche, from Rumi to Marcus Aurelius, from Buddha to Yunus Emre. Every thinker has their own page, introduction, and quotes — if a line moves you, get to know the mind behind it. AND A SIDE THAT REFRESHES DAILY The Daily Edition opens three doors each morning: a theme, a thinker, a mood. A curated starting point for the days you'd rather not choose. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN, WITHOUT OPENING THE APP Three widget sizes: the quote of the day, the thinker of the day, the theme of the day. They refresh on their own every morning — you don't have to open anything to read one. A DAILY REMINDER, IF YOU WANT ONE You decide when the quote reaches you: with your morning coffee, at lunch, or last thing at night. Or never, if you'd rather. QUOTES THAT ARE YOURS Save the lines that move you and build your own collection. Sign in and your collection follows you to every device; if you'd rather, start as a guest without an account. Turn favorites into elegant, branded cards and share them in a single tap. TRULY IN YOUR LANGUAGE Not just the menus — the quotes and their explanations are in your language too: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. VELUM PRO Unlock the full collection, remove ads, and explore without limits. A monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription; try 3 days free, cancel anytime. Unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, the subscription renews automatically; manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. A single line can say more than a whole book. Velum is here to help you find it — and understand it.
