Level Network is a $1/month social network with no ads, no recommendation algorithm, no public popularity metrics, and a chronological timeline of the people you follow. Most social apps are free, and the price is hidden in the design: ads, engagement bait, ranked timelines, and a scoreboard over every post. Level uses a cleaner model. You pay $1 a month, and the app works for you. THE CONTRACT - Users are the customer. The dollar keeps Level independent from advertisers and paid reach. - Following means following. Your timeline is chronological posts from people you chose - nothing inserted, nothing reordered. - No public scoreboards. No public like, follower, or view counts attached to people and posts. Posts stand on their own. - Monthly on purpose. No annual lock-in. Level has to keep earning the dollar. A SOCIAL NETWORK, NOT A SLOT MACHINE Level is still for normal social life: photos, stories, links, jokes, plans, art, taste, and keeping up with friends. Post things. Comment like a person.
