Shire is a horse who lives in a lantern-lit stable. When your child's head hurts, she goes and tells him about it โ€” and that conversation is the whole diary. A DIARY A CHILD CAN KEEP HERSELF No forms, nothing to type. Shire asks one gentle question at a time and she answers by tapping: when it started, which Wong-Baker face matches the hurt, where it hurts, what else feels wrong, what might have set it off. It is written down as she said it โ€” and if she isn't sure, "I don't remember" is always one of the answers. HE NEVER NAGS Shire doesn't scold, guilt-trip or hand out medical advice. If a headache is still going, he asks after it kindly for a few days and then lets it rest โ€” a headache is never closed automatically. If she told him something wrong, she can say so, and the record is corrected without erasing what was there before. WHAT THE DOCTOR GETS From the Grown-Ups area, one tap builds a PDF for the neurology appointment: headache days per month, intensity and duration, time-of-day patterns, where the pain sits, symptoms in clinical language (photophobia, phonophobia, visual aura), reported triggers, missed school, and a complete episode log. It reads the whole diary, including records kept in earlier versions of the app. ALSO IN THE GROWN-UPS AREA โ€ข A calendar of headache days and check-in days โ€” and a way to fill in a day that was missed โ€ข Time anchors: teach the app what "at lunch" or "after school" means in your house โ€ข Choose how long Shire keeps asking about a headache that is still open โ€ข Her progress: stars, streaks and rosettes, earned for showing up and telling the story โ€” never for having headaches โ€ข Backups you can save and restore at any time MADE FOR IPAD, AT HOME ON IPHONE The stable is a full-bleed scene on iPad and a comfortable single column on iPhone, with big tap targets throughout. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Every entry is a plain file in your own iCloud Drive and syncs only between your devices. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. Your family's health data stays yours.

About

Second Spring

In Chinese tradition, menopause is sometimes called a "second spring": not an ending, but a season of renewal. Second Spring is gentle tai chi and breathing for perimenopause, menopause and the years after. It helps you become the woman who meets a warm moment with a calm minute, keeps a few quiet minutes for her body every day, and walks into her appointments knowing her own patterns. You're not imagining this. The heat that rises out of nowhere, the 3 a.m. wake-ups, the days that feel unlike you: they're real, and they're common. Second Spring starts there. FEELING WARM? ONE TAP. When the heat rises, tap "Feeling warm?" and a human voice walks you through a one-minute cooling breath, with short coping lines between the rounds. The sky cools a little with every exhale. It's free and always close: a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget, Siri and Shortcuts, or the Action button. The moment is logged for you, so all you have to do is breathe. FOR 3 A.M. Awake in the dark? The night breath is dimmer, slower and quieter, made for lying still. Log a night sweat if you want to, then rest. (Pro) A PLAN THAT GROWS WITH YOU Tell Second Spring who you want to become and what your body is going through, and it shapes a four-week plan, shown as one lunar cycle with real dates. The plan grows every day and the seasons never end: when one closes, the next begins. Your levels are named after the life of a plum tree, from Seed to Sprout, Bud and First blossom. 40 GENTLE PRACTICES, 5 TO 15 MINUTES Forty voiced tai chi and breathing practices, standing or seated: cooling flows, grounding stances, hip and pelvic care, weight-bearing tai chi for strength and balance, and slow evening practices to wind down. Eight daily routines, from Cooling Flow and Morning Vitality to Sleep Prep, and five guided programs, including Reclaim Sleep and Stronger Bones. A VOICE BESIDE YOU Choose your guide: Iris, calm and British, or Nora, warm and American. Close your eyes and follow along. KNOW YOUR OWN PATTERNS A 30-second daily check-in for how your body feels, your mood and your sleep. Your warm-moments chart is free. With Pro you also see the time of day they tend to come, how mood and sleep move together, and your practice days. Before an appointment, make a one-page summary PDF to share with your clinician (Pro). LEARN WHAT'S HAPPENING Twelve short Learn cards on hot flashes, sleep, mood, brain fog, bones, the pelvic floor and being heard at an appointment, each with its sources from public health and medical organizations. Free. A WORLD THAT KEEPS YOU COMPANY A calm moonlit sea at night and a pearl dawn by day, following the time of day. Your logs stay on your phone. FREE AND PRO Free, every day: day 1 of your plan once a day, the warm-moment breath, the daily check-in and Learn. Pro opens everything: your full plan, all 40 practices, routines and programs, the night breath, every pattern and the appointment summary. If you're eligible for a free trial, we remind you before it ends. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings. Second Spring is a wellness practice, not medical advice, and it does not diagnose any condition. Talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you have osteoporosis, joint concerns or a pelvic health condition.
