FlyTalkie
Read full descriptionHide full description
Talk nearby. Play together. FlyTalkie turns your iPhone into a walkie-talkie for nearby paired devices, without internet, cell signal or a Wi-Fi network. Phones connect directly through Apple's Wi-Fi Aware. Nearby use needs no account or phone number. Open FlyTalkie on both phones, pair with Apple's device picker, then chat or call. Voice Calls Real-time voice audio travels directly between your phones and is never relayed. A short-lived internet wake can ring a backgrounded contact; the call itself needs the nearby link. Established calls continue when you switch apps or lock your screen. Mute and see audio levels and call duration. Text and Groups Text uses local wireless when possible. If direct delivery is unavailable or unacknowledged, an end-to-end encrypted mailbox can hold a pending copy for up to seven days. Photos and files require the nearby direct connection. Delivery confirmations show when text arrives. Give a group a description and an emoji on a coloured background, just on your phone. Roll a die or flip a coin in chat without losing your draft. Send one text without notification sound to phones with an updated FlyTalkie app; calls and game invitations keep their sound. Draw, annotate photos, reply to media and send voice notes. Find Your Group (Radar) Location sharing is optional, off by default and chosen per contact. See distance and direction on an Apple map. Each beacon is end-to-end encrypted for that contact. Nearby delivery is direct; a manual beacon also enters the encrypted internet mailbox for background or remote delivery when the relay is configured. Apple receives the displayed map-region request under its own terms. 53 Games Play nearby friends or the computer without internet, or enjoy solo puzzles and Solitaire. Chess, Backgammon, Șeptică, Remi, Bridge, Tarot, word games and more. Learn by playing guided lessons. Signal Rush races across themed places, including Yellowstone, Iguazu, Cappadocia and Bali, with Spring Shoes and a Decoy Box. Nearby races support up to six phones. Player Stats keeps your head-to-head record. Tic-Tac-Toe, Hangman and Connect Four are free. A one-time FlyTalkie Pro purchase unlocks the other 50 games; no subscription. Online (Optional Game Center) Choose Online in supported multiplayer games to invite Game Center friends or find an opponent. Internet and a signed-in Apple Game Center account are required. Matching may include strangers; participants see Game Center names. Online games have preset reactions and grant no FlyTalkie contact, chat, call or location access. Nearby and computer play remain account-free. Privacy No FlyTalkie account, advertising, analytics SDK or tracking. The relay cannot decrypt mailbox content, but processes device routing identifiers, push tokens, delivery metadata, encrypted payloads and expiry timestamps. Call wakes also process caller display names and call/session identifiers. The App Privacy label discloses retained app-functionality data. FlyTalkie's developer and relay receive no Game Center identity or gameplay content. Game history stays on your phone and may enter Apple-managed backup. Apple processes Game Center account and match data under its own terms. Designed for iOS 26 Liquid Glass, haptic feedback, Bluetooth headphones, Dynamic Type and VoiceOver. For flights, camping, festivals and anywhere nearby friends need to stay in touch.
