AQI Path

AQI Path is a smart navigation app designed to help you choose the cleanest, healthiest routes for commuting, exercising, or exploring your city. In a time when urban air pollution continues to rise and affect daily life, AQI Path ensures your journey is not only about reaching your destination but also about protecting your health every step of the way. The app uses real-time Air Quality Index data combined with live traffic and travel time information to recommend routes with the lowest pollution levels. This means whether you are walking, cycling, running, or driving, you can balance cleaner air with convenience and reach your destination without unnecessary exposure to harmful conditions. One of AQI Path’s standout features is its unique support for runners and cyclists. Users can simply enter a preferred distance, such as 2, 5, or 10 kilometres, and the app will generate a loop route that starts and ends at the same location while maintaining the lowest possible AQI for the entire trip. This makes it ideal for those who want to maintain a fitness routine without compromising respiratory health. For daily commuters, the app blends AQI readings with live traffic updates to suggest routes that are both time-efficient and healthier, ensuring you do not have to choose between speed and safety. The app also offers a clear, colour-coded AQI map that allows you to view your area’s air quality at a glance, making it easy to avoid highly polluted zones. This visualisation is continuously updated in real time, giving you the confidence that your chosen path reflects the most current environmental conditions. In addition, AQI Path sends timely alerts when air quality in your area drops or when a better, healthier route becomes available for your intended journey. This keeps you informed and prepared to adapt your plans, even during unexpected changes in weather or traffic. By integrating environmental data directly into navigation, AQI Path goes beyond traditional maps and route planners. Most navigation tools focus solely on distance and speed, but AQI Path places your well-being at the centre of travel decisions. This makes it valuable for commuters seeking to reduce daily exposure to pollution, fitness enthusiasts looking for safer running or cycling routes, parents aiming to protect their children’s health during school commutes, and travellers who want to explore new places while breathing cleaner air. Air pollution has been linked to respiratory issues, fatigue, and long-term health problems, and daily exposure—even in small amounts—can have a lasting impact. AQI Path helps you make informed travel choices so you can reduce your exposure and improve your quality of life. Whether you are dodging traffic fumes in the city, steering clear of industrial areas, or simply finding the freshest air for your morning jog, AQI Path makes cleaner travel simple, smart, and accessible. By combining health, convenience, and cutting-edge technology, AQI Path turns every journey into an opportunity to breathe better and live healthier. With its accurate data, intuitive design, and thoughtful features, it empowers you to take control of your daily exposure to pollution and navigate your world with health in mind.

Perun answers not only what the weather will be, but how reliable that answer is right now. SEVERAL MODELS INSTEAD OF ONE OPINION Most apps present a single weather model as the truth. Perun compares many – and picks them by location: ECMWF, GFS and other global models worldwide, plus high-resolution regional models where you are, such as ICON-D2 in Germany, ICON-2I in Italy, AROME in France, MeteoSwiss ICON in the Alps, HRRR in the USA, HRDPS in Canada or JMA in Japan. Radar and weather stations join in wherever they exist. From this comparison one clear statement emerges – for example: "This evening it will most likely stay dry." THE RELIABILITY VALUE Every statement carries a value between 0 and 100 per cent. It reflects how strongly the sources agree, how consistent they are about timing, whether the radar backs the forecast, how fresh the model runs are and how far ahead the forecast reaches. Every part can be opened up in the app. When the sources contradict each other, Perun says so – instead of feigning certainty. RAIN RADAR WITH THE OFFICIAL NOWCAST Radar measurements and the official two-hour forecast of the German Weather Service, in five-minute steps, as an animation. Forecast frames are clearly marked as such. In Italy Perun shows the radar image of the Civil Protection Department, in Canada and the USA the last two hours of measurements. OFFICIAL WARNINGS Weather warnings from the German Weather Service, the US National Weather Service and Environment Canada, precise for the selected location – with period, description and guidance. Radar, nowcasts and warnings exist only where a weather service provides them openly: Germany, Austria, Scandinavia, Italy, the USA and Canada. Everywhere else, Perun still shows the full model comparison, clothing advice and all metrics – and asks the nearest weather station whether it is raining right now. WHAT TO WEAR From apparent temperature, precipitation, wind and UV index Perun derives a concrete suggestion: jacket, umbrella, sturdy shoes or sun protection. METRICS THAT EXPLAIN THEMSELVES Wind, humidity, pressure, UV index, visibility and cloud cover can be tapped. Each metric explains what it means, places the current value with everyday examples – and warns when it gets critical. ENERGY (OPTIONAL) If you want, Perun combines dynamic electricity prices with your tariff, your PV system and your battery. It calculates the real value of a kilowatt-hour – not the market price alone – and recommends when to buy, self-consume, store or feed in. Off by default; no electricity prices are requested unless you enable it. MORE • Freely sortable home screen • Widgets for home and lock screen • Notification before rain sets in • Save several locations • Last loaded data stays visible offline, always with a timestamp WITHOUT THE CLUTTER No account, no ads, no tracking, no server of our own. The app queries the public weather services directly; only the coordinates of the selected location are transmitted. Data sources: Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), Deutscher Wetterdienst (radar and warnings, GeoNutzV), GeoSphere Austria (CC BY 4.0), MET Norway (CC BY 4.0), Dipartimento della Protezione Civile (Radar-DPC, CC BY-SA 4.0), Environment and Climate Change Canada, NOAA / National Weather Service, NOAA Aviation Weather Center and Energy-Charts / Bundesnetzagentur for market prices.
