SimpleSets vs Daruma

TL;DR: A free, offline-first strength tracker with Apple Health sync, instant logging, zero sign-up, a huge exercise catalog, and charts that make progress obvious. SimpleSets is built for people who want to get stronger without complicating the process. Whether you’re lifting a few times a week or just trying to stay consistent with a couple quick sets, SimpleSets helps you build a routine that sticks. Beneath the simplicity are powerful features designed to make logging effortless and progress motivating: • Instant offline logging + seamless sync across iPhone and the web so your workouts stay available anywhere. • Apple Health, Health Connect, Siri, and Shortcuts support for hands-free logging and automatic syncing - your data stays private and under your control. • Motivation that feels good, not pushy: accountability buddies, streaks, reminders, weekly goals, and satisfying haptic moments. • Clear visual insights including weekly trends, 1RM charts, heatmaps, and your full workout history - spot patterns, plateaus, and wins at a glance. • A deep yet flexible exercise catalog with custom movements, duration-based exercises, templates, and CSV import from Strong apps. • Friction-free logging tools like Quick Log, widgets, and adaptive banners that help you capture sets before you forget them. • 100% free, no ads, no accounts - your data stays local, with optional cloud sync for multi-device continuity. SimpleSets keeps strength training approachable while still giving power users the tools they want. One set today becomes two sets tomorrow—and that’s how progress starts.
