ShaamScanner is a private document scanner for iPhone and iPad. Capture receipts, whiteboards, business cards, notes, forms, and multi-page documents with automatic edge detection and perspective correction — then keep every scan on your device. Unlike most scanning apps, ShaamScanner makes zero network requests. Scanning, image processing, text recognition, and PDF export all run on-device using Apple's VisionKit and Vision frameworks. There's no account to create, no cloud to sync to, and no analytics collecting data behind your back. The app literally has no networking code. WHAT IT DOES • Scan with your camera. VisionKit finds document edges in real time, auto-captures when the frame is steady, and handles multi-page stacks without missing a beat. • Import from Photos. Already took the picture? Pick any image and the app runs Apple's document segmentation to find the edges and apply perspective correction, turning a crooked phone photo into a clean page. • Read the text. Apple Vision extracts text from every page. Copy it, search your library by its content, or export a PDF where every word is selectable and indexable. • Export anywhere. Send a searchable PDF via Mail, Messages, Files, AirDrop — anywhere iOS's share sheet goes. Pages can also be shared as individual images. • Tune each page. Switch between Original, Color, Grayscale, and a high-contrast Black & White filter tuned for crisp text. Rotate, re-crop, and delete pages freely. • Search the whole library. The home screen search looks through document titles and every character of recognized text, so an old receipt is one tap away. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most scanning apps upload your documents "for processing." ShaamScanner doesn't upload anything. Every capability runs on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's built-in ML. That means: • No account. No login screen. Just open the app and scan. • No cloud. Your documents never leave your device. • No analytics. No third-party SDKs. No tracking. • No subscription. One purchase, all features. REQUIREMENTS iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 17.0 or later. Document scanning requires a rear-facing camera; photo import works on any device. PRIVACY ShaamScanner does not collect personal data. The camera and photo library are accessed only when you invoke them, and the content you capture stays on your device.
