Note & Chord Flashcards vs ChordDeck

A flashcard app optimized for music training. “Note & Chord Flashcards” lets you practice note names such as C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and chord types like C, G7, Am, and more. Cards switch randomly with simple controls, making it ideal for repeated practice. It is useful for guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, and many other instruments, and can be used for chord-shape training or any practice purpose. The Note Name Flash Mode randomly displays all 12 note names at the tempo and rhythm you set. You can limit the display to a specific key, choose chord types (M, m, dim, sus4, aug, 6, m7, △7, 7), or show only note names by selecting M only. The Diatonic Chord Mode displays only the diatonic chords of the selected key. You can choose 3-chord or 4-chord patterns, which is useful for practicing common pop progressions, improvisation, and songwriting. Flashcards can switch automatically using BPM and beat count, or manually by tapping. This app works well for both performance practice and visual repetition training. This app is recommended for players who want to train chord recognition on guitar or piano, those who want to quickly identify note names, those who want to grasp chord progressions instantly while performing, those who want to deepen their understanding of diatonic chords, and those who want to improve improvisation skills for bands and sessions.

ChordDeck is a compact flashcard app for practicing jazz chord recall. Choose the roots and chord qualities you want to drill, then move through a focused deck one card at a time. Each card starts with a chord symbol so you can recall the answer mentally or on your instrument before revealing the details. Reveal a card to check the chord tones, a short formula, a compact piano keyboard highlight, and built-in audio playback. Mark difficult cards during practice and review them again later from the first screen. ChordDeck is designed for musicians who already know basic chord concepts and want a fast, repeatable way to build fluency. It keeps practice visual and direct instead of turning each session into a lesson page. Features: - Practice common jazz chord qualities across selected roots. - Follow circle-of-fourths root order or use random card order. - Choose one-pass sessions or continuous practice. - Reveal chord tones, formulas, and compact keyboard highlights. - Hear chord tones followed by the full chord. - Mark difficult cards and review them in a focused deck. - Use swipe navigation, previous and next controls, and timed autoplay. - Keep practice settings and marked cards stored locally on your device.
