About

NotesQuick

Features

NotesQuick keeps your notes as plain Markdown text files, in a folder you choose. No database, no proprietary format, no account: the files stay yours and open in any other app. On Mac it lives in the menu bar: one click for the list, another and you are writing. On iPhone and iPad you find the same notes, with a list and an editor. WRITING • Markdown highlighted as you type: headings, bold, italic, lists, links, code, quotes • A note's title is its first line, and the file takes the same name • Lists continue by themselves when you press Return • #tags are recognised in the text and collected under the note • Notes save automatically on close; empty notes go away by themselves NOT ONLY NOTES • Save a link: one tap opens it in the browser • Add files such as PDFs, images and documents, with a preview • Send text, links and files to NotesQuick from the Share menu of other apps FINDING THINGS • Search in titles and content • List sorted by last change, with a short date • Hide an item until a date, when you do not need it now • Get reminded of an item with a notification WHERE THE FILES LIVE Pick any folder, including one in iCloud Drive or another service in the Files app: if the folder syncs, your notes follow you across Mac, iPad and iPhone. You can use the .md, .markdown or .txt extension. PRIVACY NotesQuick only reads and writes the folder you choose. It makes no network requests, has no account and collects no data. FREE The app is free and complete, with no ads and no purchases.
