CircuitSense is the field calculator built for electricians who'd rather pull wire than dig through code books. Enter your circuits once and it sizes conduit, conductors, and grounds to the 2026 NEC — handling voltage drop, derating, and box fill automatically, with the math shown so you can trust every number. PLAN YOUR CONDUIT Build a complete run from a single input. CircuitSense balances circuits across conduits, picks the optimal raceway size, applies ambient and conductor-count derating, upsizes for voltage drop, and segments the run at every J-box / pull point. You get a full pull schedule with per-conduit fill percentages — before and after each box. EVERY NUMBER, EXPLAINED No black boxes. Each result shows the calculation steps, the NEC section behind it, and an upsize history so you can see exactly why a conductor went from #12 to #8. Perfect for inspections, plan review, or just double-checking your gut. A FULL NEC TOOLKIT Conductor sizing & voltage drop — ampacity, derating, and VD in one flow Conduit fill — by conductor count and type Box fill — NEC 314.16 volume by AWG and device Pull box sizing — 314.28 straight, angle/U, and splice Load calculations — dwellings, multi-family, and offices Fault current — available fault-current estimates Transformer sizing — kVA, amps, and OCPD suggestions Conduit bending — stub-90, offset, 3- and 4-point saddle Panel phasing — see circuit phases by slot (12/24/42) Construction calculator — feet/inches and tape-measure fractions Concrete & trench — slab, footing, trench/backfill, and duct bank ORGANIZED BY PROJECT Group runs under jobs, track which are complete, and reopen any run to tweak and recalculate. Your work is saved on-device and ready when you're back on site. SHARE PROFESSIONAL OUTPUT Export any run as a clean, detailed PDF — conduit schedule, fill, derating, and EGC sizing all included. Hand it to an inspector, a GC, or your own crew. BUILT FOR THE FIELD 2026 NEC referenced throughout Works offline — no signal required in the basement or the bucket Fast, single-input workflow designed for gloves and daylight Copper or aluminum, EMT and more Whether you're roughing in a panel, planning a duct bank, or checking voltage drop on a long run, CircuitSense does the code math so you can keep moving. Download CircuitSense and size it right the first time. — CircuitSense is a calculation aid for licensed electricians and qualified persons. Pi SSH is the Raspberry Pi control app with a real interactive SSH terminal — plus SFTP files, live monitoring, GPIO, Docker, and systemd. Connect over direct LAN SSH (no cloud relay) from iPhone or iPad. SSH TERMINAL (NEW IN 2.0) Open a full VT100/xterm SSH terminal to your Raspberry Pi or Linux box. Colors, interactive tools (htop, nano, vim), password or Ed25519 keys, optional jump/bastion host, on-screen shortcuts (Tab, Ctrl+C, arrows), and reconnect when the shell ends. The terminal uses its own session so live metrics keep updating. CONNECT WITH CONFIDENCE Clearer connection help when SSH fails, plus Scan network from the error screen. Bonjour discovery and Wi‑Fi subnet scanning find Pis on your local network. SFTP FILE MANAGER Browse folders, upload and download files, edit text configs, rename, copy, move, and delete — plus upload from the iOS share sheet. DOCKER & SYSTEMD Start, stop, and restart containers and services. View Docker and journal logs with live follow. GPIO CONTROL 40-pin pinout grid with per-pin input/output, PWM, custom labels, and bus-pin safety prompts. SYSTEM MONITORING CPU, memory, temperature, disk, and network — with charts and history. Home Screen widgets show the latest metrics after you capture them in the app. SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION Docker containers & images • systemd units • apt upgradable packages • journal/syslog viewer • edit boot or SSH config files. NETWORK TOOLS Local-network SSH discovery (Bonjour + subnet scan), Wake-on-LAN, TCP port checks, plus ping/traceroute run on the Pi. SNIPPETS & MACROS Save commands and run them with one tap; chain steps into macros. PRIVACY-FIRST Secrets stay in Keychain. Works over LAN/VPN — your credentials never pass through our servers. Supports Raspberry Pi OS and other Debian/Ubuntu-style Linux installs.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pi SSH at none against CircuitSense's 2. Pi SSH also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). CircuitSense's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CircuitSense sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Pi SSH asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for CircuitSense against 5.0 for Pi SSH. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pi SSH has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
