Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Themely at none against Remotely's shown. Themely also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (611 vs 5). Remotely's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 74%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Themely sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Remotely sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Themely holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Themely has 611 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Themely's written reviews are positive against 100% of Remotely's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Themely ships an update every 3 days, Remotely every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
