CipherForge turns secret messages into an adventure. Choose from over a dozen cipher modes, chain them together for maximum mystery, or build your very own personal code in The Forge. CIPHER MODES INCLUDED: - Caesar Cipher: classic letter shift - Vigenere Cipher: keyword-powered encryption - Atbash: ancient A=Z, B=Y reversal - Rail Fence: zigzag message scrambling - Pig Latin: the classic playground code - Morse Code: dots and dashes like a telegraph operator - Substitution: swap every letter with a custom alphabet - Reverse: read it backwards - Number Cipher: replace letters with numbers - Elvish Script: mystical runic encoding - Invisible Ink: hide your message with decoy letters - Levi's Conundrum: alternating number substitution - The Caleb Protocol: swap every pair of letters - The Forge: design your own code where every letter maps to your secret symbol or word THE FORGE Create a completely personal cipher. Assign any word, symbol, or string to each letter of the alphabet, then share your custom codebook with friends so they can decode your messages. CHAIN CIPHERS TOGETHER Build multi-layer codes by stacking ciphers. Vigenere + Rail Fence + Caesar? Your message becomes nearly impossible to crack without knowing the full chain. SHARE WITH FRIENDS Generate a QR code or short text share code for any cipher mode. Friends scan or enter the code to import your exact cipher setup. No accounts needed. MESSAGE HISTORY Every message you encode or decode is saved locally so you can refer back to it later. Clear it any time. COMPLETELY PRIVATE CipherForge works 100% offline. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. No data ever leaves your device. Perfect for kids learning about cryptography, families playing secret message games, teachers introducing code-breaking concepts, and anyone who loves puzzles.

CryptoKit hands you a final hash or ciphertext and hides everything in between. GLASSBOX rebuilds each algorithm by hand so every intermediate value is visible, tappable, and provably correct against Apple's real implementation β then lets an on-device AI try to crack it, winning on the weak and drowning on the strong. Honesty is a hard requirement. No screen ever fakes progress against strong crypto. Where AI or brute force cannot win, the app shows it failing and explains why. The hand-written teaching engine is checked byte-for-byte against Apple's real CryptoKit/Security output β if they ever disagree, a test fails. WHAT YOU CAN DO β’ Classical ciphers β Caesar, ROT13, VigenΓ¨re, XOR β with an on-device AI cracker that breaks them from ciphertext alone using real statistical cryptanalysis. β’ Modern families rebuilt by hand and verified against the real thing: AES-128, ChaCha20, DES; SHA-256/512, SHA-1, MD5; RSA, ECC, X25519. Scrub AES through its 10 rounds, step RSA one exponent bit at a time, watch SHA-256 churn its state. β’ The avalanche on camera: flip one input bit and about half the digest flips. β’ Crack, Tamper, and Breach labs β a dictionary attack cracks weak passwords instantly while a real, device-timed Argon2id shows why strong hashing takes centuries. β’ Labs of physics and math: a thermodynamic crack lab, a quantum threat layer (Shor/Grover verdicts + post-quantum survivors), an entropy forge that harvests real sensor noise, and Rosetta panels showing the same cipher in Swift, Python, and C++. β’ The AI, honestly: a hand-written deep net genuinely learns a reduced-round distinguisher β then genuinely fails at full strength, forever. The flat line is the exhibit. β’ Hermes β a persistent learner whose brain grows across sessions and syncs across your devices via iCloud. PRIVACY All cryptographic computation runs on your device; your inputs never leave it. The only network traffic is optional iCloud sync of the app's own learning data (in your private iCloud database) and anonymous crash/diagnostic reporting. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Verdict
The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Cipher Forge at 17.0 against GlassBox Dev's 26.0. On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
