Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LyricsFlow at none against PlayListic's 1. LyricsFlow also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). PlayListic's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and ratings volume (53 vs 6). On price, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. PlayListic sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year. LyricsFlow asks for nothing beyond the download.
LyricsFlow holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PlayListic has 53 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of PlayListic's written reviews are positive against 67% of LyricsFlow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
