About

StillPage

Features

Stillpage turns a classic novel into a gentle path into another language. You start reading in English. A few words arrive in your new language. As you go on, more of them do — until you are reading whole sentences you would not have understood on page one. HOW IT WORKS A tap means "I didn't know that." That is the only thing you ever have to do. Tapping a word shows you what it means, and tells Stillpage to keep showing it. A word you read past without tapping is treated as one you have learned, and new words take its place. There is no quiz, no streak, and nothing to keep up with. The book moves at your pace because it moves with your reading. WHAT IS IN IT • Eight classics — Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde, Pride and Prejudice, The Time Machine, The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland • Spanish, French, German and Italian • Every word tappable, with a definition written for a reader rather than a dictionary • Hear any word spoken aloud • Flashcards for the words you keep tapping, if you want them PRIVACY There is no account and nothing to sign in to. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no crash reporting — not from us and not from anybody else. What you know, what you have read and where you are up to are stored on your device. We never receive them. No account. iPhone, iOS 15 or later.
