QuietScore measures how much noise your doors and windows actually block: a Sound Isolation Score in about 60 seconds, using your iPhone and a Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker. No lab equipment, no calibration, no sign-up. It is a practical estimate, on a scale comparable to professional STC ratings, and it is the number that tells you whether to sign the lease, whether your conference calls can be heard from the next room, whether the studio treatment worked, or whether last weekend's weatherstripping did anything at all. HOW IT WORKS 1. Put a Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker inside the room 2. Step outside with your phone and take a reading with the door open 3. Close the door and take the second reading The app plays test tones through the speaker and measures how much of them survives the trip through your door or window. Same spot for both readings, only the door changes: your score is the difference between the two, which is why nothing needs calibrating. About 60 seconds once the speaker is connected.
