Tiretime: DOT Tire Date & Plant Decoder Is your tire too old to be safe? Tires degrade from the inside out. Even with "good tread," a tire over 6 years old can be a safety risk. Tiretime is the fast, reliable way to decode the US DOT Tire Identification Number (TIN) and know exactly when and where your tires were made. Whether you are buying a used car, inspecting an RV, or checking your trailer tires before a road trip, Tiretime provides instant clarity. Key Features: Date Decoder: Instantly convert the 4-digit DOT code into the month and year of manufacture. Plant Code Directory: Identify the specific factory and manufacturer for your tires. Safety & Recalls: Direct link to reputable legal resources for official manufacturer/plant recall checks. RV & Trailer Ready: Ideal for vehicle types where tires often "age out" before they "wear out." Lightweight & Fast: Designed for quick use in driveways, tire shops, or car lots. Our Privacy Philosophy I built Tiretime because I could never remember these codes myself. I value your privacy as much as my own. While we use standard tools to keep the app running and show a small banner ad, we do not track who you are or what tires you are looking up. What we collect & Why: Performance Data: We see basic info (device type, OS, and general region) to ensure the app works on your phone. We purge this after 90 days. Anonymized Analytics: We use Google Firebase to see which features are popular so we can make the app better. Ads & Transparency: The free version uses Google Mobile Ads. If you prefer a completely clean experience, a one-time 99¢ "Pro" upgrade removes ads forever. Support: If you email me for help, I’ll have your email address to reply to you. That’s it. I delete support logs within 2 years. Integrity: We monitor for abuse and scraping to keep our systems fast and free for everyone. No hidden tracking. No data brokering. Just a utility that works.

Tire Scan · DOT/TIN reads a tyre sidewall DOT/TIN and tells you when it was made, how old it is, whether to keep or replace it, and which plant made it. ONE JOB ONLY • Decode DOT/TIN age (week + year) • Clear status: OK · Watch · Replace • Offline plant lookup (NHTSA list) • Auto-save readings (and camera photos) • Works offline after install • English + 简体/繁體 This app does not check size, PSI, tread depth, shops, model names, or wheel position. GET THE CODE THREE WAYS • Live camera — point at the sidewall for automatic detection • Shutter or Photos — still image OCR • Manual entry — type the code and tap Read OCR accepts a full sidewall code (about 10–16 characters, includes a letter, last 4 = week/year). If OCR fails, enter the code manually. Short or date-only codes work in manual mode. AGE VERDICT • OK (green) — under 6 years • Watch (amber) — 6 to under 10 years • Replace (red) — 10 years or older Age is a common reason to replace a tyre even when the tread still looks fine. PLANT LOOKUP Offline NHTSA equipment plant data. See brand, country, manufacturer, place, plant code, and active/closed when known. HISTORY & SHARE • Auto-save every successful read (local on device) • History newest first — tap for full record, swipe to delete • Share a single summary image (code, status, plant, photo if any) DESIGNED BY THE CAR Single main screen, bilingual UI, light/dark, first-launch tips. Bottom banner ads only. IMPORTANT Results are for awareness from the codes you scan or enter. They do not replace professional inspection, manufacturer guidance, or legal vehicle checks. Dirty sidewalls, lighting, and partial markings can affect OCR — use manual entry when needed. Tire Scan · DOT/TIN — sidewall age, clearly.
