About

The Stack

Features

The Stack is a media tracker that works like a to-do list. Someone recommends a film, a series, a book, a comic or a game? Add it to your stack and get to it whenever. ONE TRACKER, ONE QUESTION. You only have a block of time and attention, so why have several tracking apps? Movies, TV shows, books, comics, manga and video games live in one stack with the same four statuses for everything: Pending, In progress, Finished, Dropped. FAST TO ADD, EASY TO FIND. Search once across catalogues for film and TV, books, comics and games, tap to add, and the cover, year and details come with it. Filter by type or status, and see at a glance what is waiting for you. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED. Open the app and start adding. Everything is saved on this device from the first tap. If you want the same stack on another device or want to change phones, add your email and sign in with a one-time code. No passwords, no profile, no social features. FREE, WITH NOTHING BEHIND A PAYWALL. The Stack is free and fully featured. There are no ads, no subscriptions, no premium tier and no limits on how much you track. If you want to support the developer there is an optional tip in Settings; it unlocks nothing, by design. BUILT TO BE USED. Dark interface, full VoiceOver support, English and Spanish. Made by one person who couldn't keep up with her media pile. Catalogue data comes from TMDB, IGDB, Open Library, AniList and Metron under their terms. The Stack shows titles, covers and details only; it does not host, stream or link to the works themselves.

Both are free to download. Backlog sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and The Stack sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
